Thanks again. Yes — visits are being tracked in the Analytics real time report (just not the events). I’ll reach out to the Analytics Help Center.
Some additional information I just discovered:
In my Analytics, it’s now registering the data from the button click trigger for yesterday, but not for the link click trigger (which used to work). Everything else is still the same, however (no events will register in real time, the same errors pop up on Tags Assistant legacy extension).
Thanks for your help. The errors don’t pop up on my side either through that tag assistant website you’re using — I see the same thing you do in that screenshot when I run it, but the errors do pop up via the Tag Assistant legacy extension in Chrome when I run a recording and click on the appropriate items to fire the triggers (the schedule a free consultation button/link). I’m happy to send a screenshot if that helps.
The problem is recent — I only just noticed it, and everything was working perfectly only a few weeks back. I just deactivated all optimization plugins and ran the same checks, but the events still aren’t registering in Analytics and the same error message is still produced in the Tag Assistant extension.
The only thing I can think of that’s changed between when it was working and now is that I did add Google Optimize (set up through SiteKit) to my website recently and started running an A/B test there — I don’t think I’ve added any other plugins.
Thanks again for any further help you can provide.
