I have similar problem immediately after updating to WP 4.6.1 – started a topic here:

In WP Admin, editing/adding any Post/Page is extremely slow, literally takes 3-5 min. No errors displayed. The rest of Admin (menus, settings, etc.) seems Ok, even a bit quicker than before the WP update. On the public side, everything loads quickly. Seems to be a bug with WP 4.6.1 – has it been TESTED?

Can anyone help?

Tara, it’s not the computer, plugins, or the site content – as I said, my site is small.
The public site loads quickly. The problem is in the Admin, and began immediately after I updated to WP 4.6.1.
So I’m pretty sure it’s a bug with WP 4.6.1, and I’m looking for someone who knows how to fix this.
