    Overall I like the theme.

One small item: The 404.php seems to have a problem. To fix I copied 404.php from another theme. Without this, when going to a page that didn’t exist you’d get a page without content and a sidebar with the default widgets, even though there were widgets in both the main sidebar area and the Inner Page/Post sidebar. Thanks. Looking forward to the upgraded theme!

If I rename the wp-includes folder and then upload the folder and all files in it, the issue is fixed. Haven’t figured out why or what file in the wp-includes folder was missing or corrupted and causing the issue though.

OK – The upgrade from 3.14 to 3.2 worked this time, actually twice – once with no plugins and once with all the plugins installed. That was on one site. So I thought maybe the reason for the issue with the visual editor to transitioning the upgrade properly might have been due to a plugin that hadn’t been upgraded.

I tried the upgrade on another site with all of the same plugins as the first site and all the latest versions of plugins. The upgrade worked. I tried the upgrade on a third site and again all plugins the latest version, this time the upgrade caused the same issue and it no longer has a visual editor.

Back to square one – looking for a pattern if there is one. Each site has a different theme but each site had the same plugins.

Tried everything suggested here, but nothing worked. Removed 3.2 and reinstalled 3.2 and now the visual editor is back. just to see if it is an issue with the upgrade I’ll install 3.14 and then try the upgrade again.

It didn’t happen right away after upgrading to 3.2, but about a half hour later – perhaps the site caching software caused the delay. Now the editor buttons are gone, the side update and preview buttons are missing and whether the visual or html tab is selected it only shows html. I’ve tried turning off and then on the visual editor in my profile which didn’t work. It’s not a cache issue on my site or in the browser and refreshing wp-admin and wp-includes didn’t fix. Fortunately this is a test site and I won’t upgrade any production sites until this is resolved.

Yes, that worked. Now contributor post are held for review. Thanks I appreciate your expertise!

This is a great plugin! With WordPress the default capability of a Contributor is to be able to submit posts for review. Pending approval by the admin they will be published. I would like a contributor able to submit post using quick-post as he/she can on the back end of WordPress.

Tried the Role Editor plugin you suggested and the hacks to quick-post-widget.php but after making those changes a Contributor is able to publish posts, not just submit them for review by the admin. I appreciate your work on this. Access to the plugin site is giving a database error.

Thanks, I didn’t realize I needed to have the user at “Author” level. I’d tried “Contributor”. So it shows up now that I changed the user access level.

Now if only when I log in at the “Author” level I was redirected to the front page and not have to navigate their.
