“the_content” is a container used by wordpress. It only appears on direct content sites like posts or pages. If you try to edit for example a shop page, there is no “the_content” container, so no editor on the world can edit there, you have to use a template for that.

thsts odd, I am working on FireFox myself for years, and never had any trouble. maybe some FF plugins are causing that issu?

thats not true – if you use the brizy template for the page, you can use headers and footers since the whole theme gets ignored in that case.
