In reply to: [WooCommerce] Need Help With Setting Up a FilterThanks for that response, Amanda; I really appreciate it.
I installed and activated the Woocommerce Products Filter, but I don’t know how to set it up. It looked pretty easy, but when I tried nothing showed up on my site. I tried to follow the tutorial, but just don’t know enough to get started. Mainly, I don’t know the difference between some of the terms, as they might apply to my site; e.g. as stated in my post, I need to allow the customer to search by sport, then by one of the following: equipment, apparel, and novelty, using an ‘AND’ function, such as ‘Soccer’ AND ‘Novelties.’ In such a case, would ‘sport’ (soccer) be a category and then ‘equipment/apparel/novelty’ be another ‘category’ or a ‘tag’ or what?
I tried to follow the tutorials, but one was narrated by a Ukrainian guy whose accent was not easy to understand and in the other tutorial there was no dialogue, but he went too fast and, without a spoken explanation, I wasn’t sure what he was doing.
Is there something in Woocommerce that I have to do, before a filter will show up?

In reply to: Pagination Not WorkingNo, it is not a problem with the theme, because I change to five different themes and they all behaved the same way: pagination doesn’t work. Any ideas?

In reply to: Pagination Not WorkingOkay, well, thank you, Swayam & Nisha. I will give that a try. However, I doubt if it is a theme problem, because it was working and just recently quit.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Need to Create a clickable ‘Novelties’ SubcategoryHi Anton.
Thanks for your help. No, I had already tried un-checking the category box and leaving just the subcategory (Novelties) checked, but that didn’t do it. The product would still remain being displayed in the main category products page, anyway. I think you must be right about the theme being set up to display a product in both the categories and the subcategories. It seems crazy to have a product displayed in the main category product page, after you have deselected the category. Thanks again for your time & trouble, however. I appreciate it.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Need to Create a clickable ‘Novelties’ SubcategoryHi Steve. Thanks for your time & effort in answering my question.
Unfortunately, I’m not computer-savvy enough to know how to do what you suggested. I think that my theme, Shopkeeper, allows me to have menus in only three places (top bar, header, and footer), and I am already using them. Am I correct in thinking that, when you buy a theme, you are stuck with only the number of menus that it allows?; not sure about that, really.
Does a sidebar count as a menu?
What about widgets? Am I now able to add a widget? I don’t know the difference between a menu, a sidebar, and a widget.
The last thing you mentioned (adding a tag to each novelty, then adding some code) sounds like it might be something that would work, but, again, I’m not sure that what I’m visualizing is correct. Wish that I knew how to program.
What about a plugin? Given how user-friendly Woocommerce is, I can’t imagine that it doesn’t already have the capability to do what I need to do.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Shop Page’ Category Images Too LargeHi Lorro.
I can’t thank you enough for your help. What you suggested (making a new ‘Shop Page’) worked. This is about the third time that you’ve been the one who has helped me out of my problems. Trying to correct things that go awry when you don’t know what you’re doing is so frustrating and your help is invaluable. I wish there were some way that I could repay you for your time and effort.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Categories are Shown Twice On ‘Shop’ PageProblem solved. I just deleted the old page and started over. I will never known why there were two sets of product categories and their images, I guess. Oh well, thanks, everyone who sent in suggestions; I truly appreciate your time and effort.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Categories are Shown Twice On ‘Shop’ PageI almost forgot to mention that problem lies on the ‘Shop’ page, not the ‘Home’ page, if that helps at all.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Categories are Shown Twice On ‘Shop’ PageHi Doug.
Thanks for your help. I just disabled the password protection…so frustrating to wait for help, only to find that I have shot myself in the foot with that!
I’m hoping you will be so kind as to have a look at it now that the password protection is gone and maybe come up with a solution, since I don’t know what I’m doing…as you can tell :O)
Thanks again!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Shop Page’ Category Images Too LargeHi Lorro.
Thanks for your help. I think that I will follow your advice and just try making a new page for showing my product categories. I have found a plugin that looks like it will do the job; however, I am stuck when it comes to linking each category button (e.g., ‘Basketball’) to the products which fall withing that category. In the ‘Link To’ box, it simply asks me for the url for that category; however, I don’t know how to find each category’s url in WordPress. Of course, I have a page for all of the product categories (archery, skiing, football, etc.), but I don’t see any url for each one. Can you steer me in the right direction?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Shop Page’ Category Images Too LargeI just got a little more input from someone on another forum that might shed a little light on the problem, so I thought that I would paste it here, to see if it provided a lead to solving the problem. Not being knowledgeable about programming, it all means nothing to me, but it obviously would to those of you who are on the Woocommerce plugin forum. Here is what he said:
“I can see the ul element has the classes “products-grid small-up-2 medium-up-3 large-up-4 xlarge-up-5 xxlarge-up-5” applied to it but can’t see anything within the child li elements that would make them columns i.e no floats or flex css for example. This would indicate you have the classes are wrong or the css is missing that controls them. You may having something like a “column” class that you need to add to each li element to make it display as a column.
The class syntax seems similar to the Zurb’s grid system so it may help to check out their docs, or the docs for the grid system you are using, if you know it.”

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Shop Page’ Category Images Too LargeFurther information: I’m not sure if this is relevant or not, but when looking at the information seen at the end of the above-described path, it shows the ‘WooCommerce Categories’ logo.
And above all of that, it says, “WPBakery Page Builder,” which, I guess, is the software plugin or whatever you call it, used to construct the page.
