I think I figured this out.

Pop ups are not compatible with some themes.

Even some new and up to date themes it does not work.

This is what my web host told me.

After checking a few of my other websites there is no subscriber role on those either (and they do not use your booking plugin).

My hosting company took a look.

Apparently, the subscriber account is hidden and cant be created but it already exists.

Why it’s hidden on all my of websites, I have no idea.

I should be able to create another role as long as it’s not called “Subscriber”.

Which is odd. I have never seen this role before.

The same message, “The requested role to edit does not exist.”

I have multiple wordpress sites that do not have this role. I have never seen it.

That other ticket is about creating roles in WP with their plugin, so far, it has not worked to create the role.

Your documentation shows using a role called “Subscriber” and then creating a free membership for that role.

I have looked up this Subscriber role but my wordpress does not have it configured.

I also tried creating it with several tools but failed.

I did exactly as they said. Nothing more, nothing less. Admin user can’t see the posts.

Do I need to use the ADD MEMBER screen to add a new Admin member?

I didnt do that assuming your plugin would link my WP admin member to the newly created Admin Access level.
