In reply to: Navigation Menu IssuesOK. This is a menu / content issue which should not be theme related.
Is there any issue with WP that could cause this? Basically, i cannot save any more items to my menu structure.

In reply to: Lightboxes and thumbnailsOK – I realized why this works. I had actually created a separate page within WordPress to allow it to open up in the lightbox

In reply to: Lightboxes and thumbnailsok – try me! ??
Could you tell me the line of code?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Lightboxes and thumbnailsunderstood. here’s what i need.
1.click on thumbail > opens a larger image in attachment page; then
2.click on larger image in attachment page > opens in lightbox.
I can do #1, but when i click on the image in the attachment page, it opens a separate window on a standard web page, rather than a lightbox.
The problem is that there doesn’t appear to be an option in Shadowbox to change the setting specifically for the attachment page. Infact, i’m not even sure how i edit the attachment page itself.
Thanks for your help so far.

In reply to: Lightboxes and thumbnailsYes, it does. However, after clicking through from the thumbnail page to the large image page, the image will not open in a lightbox (when i click on the image on the larger image page).

In reply to: SEO / Keyword IssuesThanks Krishna. I believe that i have managed to keep individual keywords down to below 5% each (when i count all words included in the page intro text, image title, and alt text -, i.e. the text that shows up in a lynx browser).
However, i now have the odd problem that, out of a gallery of, say, 25 images, only a handful are showing up in google image searches. (sometimes when i copy and paste the alt text, i get no returns at all in the search). My page does appear to be indexed properly in Google.
Could it be that Google believes that Alt text of individual images are a problem and pushes only that image out of the search?
Thanks.

In reply to: Publishing SiteNot sure i am the best person to help. I am something of a novice, although i thought i was savvy enough to find my way about a tool such as wordpress. I managed to solve my problems, but i feel it was more by accident than through any solid direction from the troubleshooting pages.
For the record, what i did was remove “wordpress” from my URLs and add ‘www’ to my page URL – this both allowed me to publish updates and log in to my site (without having to continually reset the password), respectively – something which i expected would have been set by default, – but as i say, i am a relative novice, and perhaps i don’t understand the nuanced way a piece of software like this goes about its business.
I do notice from the forums that plug ins and themes seem to be the chief cause of problems – suggesting to me that many of them are not entirely compatible with wordpress. This would be my only real suggestion- start selectively undoing your tinkering to see which action has caused the issue.

In reply to: Publishing SitesThanks. I tried all of these, but to no avail. However, it seems i did stumble upon a solution by changing the url in the (removing wordpress text) in the General tab.
Thanks for your response though.
