Okay, thanks.
Okay, I’ve figured out that it was actually the Statcounter section that was resizing, because it was outside of the footer. I think I’ve fixed it now. Sorry for bothering you!
(I should probably add that the problem is likely to be that our theme is too out of date to work well with the latest WordPress update. I didn’t realize it because it’s a third-party, customized theme that WordPress doesn’t flag as having updates available. So Stanimir is right, the problem was not SG Optimizer. It was me not understanding where our theme came from!)
Okay, after reading this thread, I installed the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin and that solved my problem, at least for now. Thanks Darren_S!
I’ve had to change the menu back to one that doesn’t use submenus. I know it’s hard to look at it if it keeps changing. Thanks for trying!
I changed the menu (to one called Global2) on Sunday night so that it could work today. I’ve put the broken one (called Global Nav) back now. The submenus should be under “Services” and “RFQs.”
I did try disabling SG Optimizer before, and it made no difference. Does that definitely mean that combining JS files didn’t cause the problem? I was worried that once I’d done that there was no way to UNcombine them even if I disable the feature. Obviously I don’t understand this very well and shouldn’t have messed with it.
It may be that the problem was caused by the recent WordPress update. I’m not sure where to post the question in that case.
