Actually, I had this problem while I was with my free webhost, that didn’t allow f_open and curl. I shifted to a paid webhost, that didn’t have these restrictions, and I didn’t get these errors anymore.

Check your php.ini whether fopen is allowed or add that command in your wordpress .htaccess file.

There’s another problem. If I rename it to .htaccess.backup other than the home page all other links show error 404 file not found. Help me please ??

I don’t get it. My style.css has that code already. And my navigation.php has two lines of Previous and Next entries.

Installing the pluign will solve the problem ?

Ok so now i’ve got an improvement of 2 seconds in load time with mod_deflate and super cache. ?? Thanks for your inputs donncha.

Even though I’m still curious with the gzip enabled thing.

Ok, I’ve put the htaccess file in the root folder now.

Should I use some other plugin to try and see if gzip works first ? Or maybe try and get the super cache compression working ?

I found this article to use gzip or mod_deflate. I’ll try them and see if they help. ??

Hey guys you’ve been life-savers so far. Thanks a ton for that. I need one last help. My website uses timthumb.php to resize images. It works fine when I add jpeg links from flickr.com. But when I add photos from facebook they dont show up with timthumb.

I added their link facebook.com and sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net(this the link when you open images in facebook) to the allowedsites section but it doesnt work. Can somebody help me out ?
