    Alright, quick update.

I switched back to vanilla Customizr, and that fixed our nav problem. Something’s awry somewhere in my child theme, then, and I’m not positive where that’d be. header.php? Also, why did it work on one server and not on the other? Maybe I’ll re-migrate the child theme.

Note, however, that the main content area is still devoid of widgetary goodness :/

Just a bump – wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks!

Hi! I was combing through the forums looking for some answers myself, and I found this thread. Did you end up figuring it out? I may be able to help if you’re still having trouble with this. Let me know!

So I’m gonna have to ask you guys another potentially silly question.

I’ve found that we start wrapping to two rows at about 1680px. That’s really quite wide, I know, but I don’t really know as there’s much else I can take out of the nav. I’ve poked around the internet, but I haven’t found an answer: Can I add an additional @media query to Bootstrap’s layout system, or is that not an option? I tried using one of the collapsing queries as a template and changing the max-width value, but it didn’t seem to have any effect at all.

Even just a shove in the right direction for a good, clear source on this would be awesome. Thanks again!

    Tom.

@dave Bardell – Thanks! Very helpful, especially for us noobs ??

@chappie – No kidding. I wish I could combine some of these things, but the powers that be are pretty tight on what can be listed under what, because it implies control. For example, you’d think the Court would be a Dept., but no. I actually took things out of the nav completely to try to shave it down, hence the Calendar only appearing in those big circular callouts. At any rate, thanks for that snippet! I think I might use it (or some iteration thereof) along with changing the @media queries.

@andrew – AHA! Thanks for that – I see exactly what you mean now. So, just to be sure (I’m obv new at these), I should be able to override those in the Custom CSS field, yes? Or even just directly in the style.css of my child theme? Or is there a better way to accomplish this?

    Again, thanks so much, guys!

Ah, thank you. I’ll check that out in a second! So once I find them, where will I change them? If I recall correctly (which is not always a sure bet :P), the Customizr CSS only contained 1 or 2 media queries. Are they wrapped into LESS files or something, or are they readily accessible? I’ll dive in and double check after I submit this … you know, the reverse of the way I should do it ??

Familiar with them, but I didn’t realize I could use them to actually edit the breakpoints in the theme. I go back and forth between Chrome’s dev tools and Firefox with the Chris Pederick’s Developer Toolbar.

I do, as a matter of fact.

    And there’s the other half!

There was an extra </div> lurking in Mumrik’s comments.php, which, when eradicated, allowed for my page to display itself properly. Now, if I were only allowed to update my own browser on this computer I purchased through my school, I’d be able to see everything in its full glory.

Thanks, tiger, for all your help!

    Best wishes!

I’ve had half an “Aha!”! I started deconstructing my theme’s index.php, removing all the php calls and then putting them back in one by one. The one that breaks the #Wrapper div is <?php comments_template(); ?>, so I’m reading up on that right now. That function calls my theme’s comments.php file, so there’s got to be something unsavory happening when it builds it out. Idk. I feel like I’m at least in the right ballpark now, though.

Let me know if anything comes to you. Thanks!

    Hey, kmp
Any luck with this? I’m battling through a curious hangup of my own, so I wouldn’t at all mind a fresh problem to sink my brain fangs into. Let me know what you’ve got!

    Hi, Cassidy!
I see you got the text to go away, so congratulations ?? Do you still have any questions? I’d be more than happy to lend a hand! I’ll make a point to check up on this thread / your page for the next couple days at least. I’ve got a lot of work to do, so I’ll be here. Haha

You know, I read something about single.php either yesterday or the day before, and when I went to inspect it, I found nothing. It would appear my theme [Mumrik] doesn’t have a single.php file. This may be a silly question, but how would I go about figuring out what file it does use to generate a single post page … just trial and error, right?

There’s a file called “page.php”, but I’ll have to check up on that before I go tinkering with it. Thanks for checking it out again, though!

    Hey, tiger
Thanks for checking up. I just went back through my source, and you’re right, most things are calling a /wp/ directory, but I think that’s correct. All of WP’s squishy bits [by this, I mean organs and inner workings] are in that directory … all I really did for the “Great Migration” was to copy wp/index.php and wp/.htaccess over to my root directory and then correct the permalink settings in the dashboard. It’s strange, cos the items one is able to set a structure for [categories and tags] work fine … but the items one can’t change [at least to my knowledge], i.e. posts, build themselves incorrectly. Or something.

I don’t know. I have a love / hate relationship with problems like this ??

Thanks again, and let me know if you come up with anything else!
