In reply to: [bbPress] [Plugin: bbPress] Tags on unapproved repliesYou can also to this that existing tags on a topic often get overwritten or removed on these Spam posts that are yet to be published. Obviously this causes concern.
Any answer?
Oh wow, that’s cool.
Yeah, I’ve reviewed every YouTube plugin I could find and none implement GA tracking which I found quite odd.I’ve been using embedded code which I mentioned earlier and it’s essentially from THIS ARTICLE.
My site hosts the JS that is mentioned in the post and found on HERE.
Having this would certainly give your plugin a distinct point of difference, agreed.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with now ??
Thanks so much for replying, Mr Pixel ??
Had a look at that plugin but it’s really an onsite analytics report. I’d much prefer to use offsite to move server load to a 3rd party as well as use the GA integration. More options for statistical joy, in my opinion.
It’s odd that none of the YouTube plugin for WP have yet to implement such an important tracking mechanism.
Guess I’ll need to stick with my embedded code for the time being.
Thanks again, mate

In reply to: [WP Help] [Plugin: WP Help] Allow broader access to help?Well, I’d certainly like to make this available to at least Contributors. They need to be able to access WP Help for all the same reasons as a user that is able to Publish posts, except their content just needs to be approved.
So I second the motion for a broader user access level for WP Help
Ahh, I don’t even know that existed ??
Kinda makes it a little easier – thanks for the tip, IanForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Edit Flow] [Plugin: Edit Flow] Calendar (again) and some questionsOh cool, that’s great to have further clarification around point 2. I wasn’t able to easily find that info.
And even cooler that point 3 might be on the development radar somewhere too – thank you.
Would still love to hear other people’s experiences in how they best use Edit Flow.

In reply to: [Edit Flow] [Plugin: Edit Flow] v0.7 – Calendar doesn't dragNah, no way.
Published is live viewable content. Scheduled is future (to be published content).
The user case for this is mapping out a site’s content. Contributors or just me schedule content to go out, according to some criteria. The calendar makes it easy to see at a glance when this is happening. If there’s a ‘hole’ in the schedule, then scheduled content should be able to be dragged to pad out these holes and the calendar should then change the dates of the schedule to align with the date.
You ain’t folling me with scheduled content being technically-published ??
Appreciate your efforts, Daniel. Just voicing my opinion.
It certinly would be really handy.
Having to edit to approve also changes IP of poster – well, it does in my setup, anyway.I also don’t think the Spam hover functions when browsing the Pending group. Maybe an ommission in bbPress at the core.
Yeah, I know. I installed it this morning ?? Thank you.
Is there any way to change the status from Pending to either Spam or Approved. Seems like the approved status requires me to edit the Reply and Publish. Is this right?

In reply to: [Edit Flow] [Plugin: Edit Flow] 0.7 – Calendar issuesMight be minor to someone that has used the plugin however hitting ‘Today’ was certainly not an obvious thing to do for me.
For a first time user, when I open a page like the calendar, the expectation would be to display what the user should be expecting.
Thank goodness I fiddle around with things ??
And cool it’s fixed as well. Thanks for the uber-ultracool plugin, guys.

In reply to: [Edit Flow] [Plugin: Edit Flow] 0.7 – Calendar issuesActually (and by accident) I clicked the ‘Today’ button and content started displaying.
Which is wierd since the dates looked similar and included ‘today’. That said, there isn’t a year displayed so I’m wondering whether that original calendar was actually Jan 2011 instead of 2012.
Only new’ish to WP and bbPress, having migrated from a 2 year Drupal installation.
Cool to see the relative ease in making plugins, though I’m no coder dude.
Thank you so much for the snippet which works as expected so I’m a happy camper, for the moment.
I do look forward to seeing more control and user mgmt and spam control plugins or built into bbPress such as WangGuard and Askismet (being my favorite 2 at the moment)

In reply to: Relationships blog – Drupal to WordPressYeah, I had a look at that Java thing and found it way too confusing. And I started my search with that ‘modeling’ link.
I found GConverter to be by far the cheapest and reliable for what I wanted to do. That MigratetoWP site is much more expensive, in my opinion. Good luck with it though, I’m sure every one’s requirement are different to mine but I’m pretty happy now.
Oh wow, I’d love to see this as a plugin so I don’t have to go hacking core theme files.
Any chance you could make this happen?
Thanks for the reply, David.
I’ll certainly start using the plugin once this is rolled in then. This is really important functionality when it comes to engagement as well as Google ‘seeing’ that engagement.
Thanks
Martin
