Oh my, I just figured this out, sorry to take up your time.
The problem I was having was caused because I had “Include Parent” checked. Unchecked, it and everything appears to be working correctly.
Sorry to bother.

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Display larger thumbnails?Hi,
I’m just learning my way around your plugin but finding it very useful and am grateful for the work you’ve put in.
I just wanted to echo Karen’s request: having the option to set the thumbnail view in the admin screen would be very very helpful to me as well — most of my editing is done in the “quick edit” view.
Thank you!
I’m guessing the problem is the other plugin I use related to custom fields and post types … It’s likely occurring with the plugin “Custom Field Template”. I’m not sure what it does under the covers, but it provides a nice UI for the custom fields I created. Perhaps how it handles saving that data under the covers uses the attachment functionality?
I dunno, I just now that once I converted to custom post types with custom fields, things started looking messy in Editorial Calendar, namely due to the duplicate [inherit] titles.
These inherit posts don’t show up in the main post listing, so I didn’t expect to see them in Ed Cal. I do some looking on their pages and see if others have encountered issues.
Hi Zack,
By all screwy I mean, I started seeing all the “inherit” posts, similar to the screenshot that Ramoonus shared.
I was in the process of converting a bunch of posts to the custom post type of review — I used the plugin Post Type Switcher to change the post type value.
As a result, I was touching dozens of posts to make simple updates. When I finished and looked at the Ed Calendar for my new post type, it was full of duplicate posts(reviews) that had the [inherit] text next to it. I can delete them manually but it is extremely laborous.
I wanted to echo this post and say I’m having this problem too.
I also have a ton of plugins, but I suspect the problem either relates to custom post types, custom taxonomies, or custom fields.
It was after I introduced these features that the Ed Calendar got all screwy.

In reply to: comments switched off itself… few times alreadyI wanted to echo that I’ve been having this problem as well and it’s very frustrating.
It seems to happen randomly, not coinciding with updates that I’m aware of.
The thought of deactivating ALL my plugins is a miserable one — i have plugins installed that I use — it will majorly mess with the look and function of my site.

In reply to: [Plugin: Link Library] Can’t exclude categoriesI just upgraded and it looks good. I tested it with setting the order by the (blank) include list, as well as by name.
Tx for the quick fix!

In reply to: [Plugin: Link Library] Can’t exclude categoriesaha! I think I figured it out.
I didn’t realize it, but I had set the Results Order to “Order of categories based on included category list’. Which was blank for me. It seems like, based on it being blank, it was showing everything.
When I changed that param to be something else (i.e. name), the excluded categories properly disappeared from my listing.
So – there may be a bug with that field, but I’ve got things working for me now.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: Link Library] Can’t exclude categoriesHi Yannick,
Thanks for the response.
The categories I’m trying to exclude are unique to links – I do not have any post categories by the same name.
The excluded categories are showing up both in the category name list as well as the full listing of links.
For kicks, I tried setting the the “include only” option to these same fields. When I do that – my page listing only displays the above mentioned categories. Yet it does not seem to exclude them, when I cut and paste the same value in the exclude setting.
Crazy!

That’s is useful info, but not quite what I was looking for. I guess I was hoping to find something that would tell me how long my overall load time is and how break it down by action, ie. queries and what not.
