In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Grouped Calendars not workingI’ve now had a chance to go through the steps in the troubleshooting guide. There doesn’t appear to be a theme, plugin or widget conflict.
This happens even when there is only one calendar selected in the grouped calendar. For example:
https://wellingtoncathedral.org.nz/calendar/recital-combo-page/
is a grouped calendar, which contains only this one calendar at present:https://wellingtoncathedral.org.nz/calendar/recitals/
which does seem to be working correctly. What can I try next?

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Grouped Calendars not workingI’m experiencing the same thing. Have been testing for a few days on my personal site, and felt confident enough to get it running on my work site.
Now when I create a grouped calendar (all the individual calendars work fine – https://wellingtoncathedral.org.nz/calendar/diary-printing-services/ for example) I just get a completely blank page when viewing it – (https://wellingtoncathedral.org.nz/calendar/diaryprinting/).
When I use the shortcode to embed it in a page [calendar id=”6435″] the entire page fails to load, even though there is other content in it. https://wellingtoncathedral.org.nz/printthediary/
Very frustrating! Help!
One further issue, which I think is related to time zone – I’m trying to make a list of events scheduled today.
When I select Calendar start – today and Latest event – day end of start date I only get events scheduled to start before 12.30pm, even though there are events scheduled later in the afternoon. Extending the latest event to 1 day after start date I get a full list of dates – but again stopping at 12.30pm on the next day.
This is getting frustrating – I’m currently testing on my personal site, but would like to get my work site (the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul) updated soon, as I love the look of this new version. Please help!
An update – I’ve just realised that it’s only the grouped calendar which is affected by this. The original calendar (which I’ve never had need to use by itself, only in a group with other calendars) is showing the time correctly when the time zone is set to site default. Still not resolved though, as I really need the grouped calendars working properly!
Nick – no, didn’t help me at all. Using site default OR event source produces incorrect dates. Manually setting to UTC+3 brings makes the current ones correct, but the ones during daylight savings are out by 2 hours.
Both my site and google calendars are set to Auckland / New Zealand.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] List View – No HeadingPerfect – works like a charm, thanks.
Nick – Calendars -> All calendars -> (name of calendar) -> Advanced
Site timezone is set to Auckland.
Cheers

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] List View – No HeadingIt would be great to be able to hide the date range title on pages that show the calendar list through shortcodes too – will the CSS snippet you’re writing work for this as well, or just widgets? I use it on another site for a display screen at the entrance to the building, and this needs to be as simple as possible – worked really well with the older version. https://wellingtoncathedral.org.nz/display/
I’m having an issue with time zones as well – I’m based in New Zealand, and regardless of whether I use the source, site default or manual time zone they’re incorrect – doesn’t seem to account for daylight savings. I’ve had to set it manually to UTC+3 for now which makes the current times correct – but the archived ones during daylight savings time are off by two hours. Very frustrating!
Have a look at https://richardapperley.com/performance-diary/ – the majority of these recitals should be appearing as 12.45pm.
Thanks!
