Yes! That worked fine, although I wish that it were bold and a color.

There are other types of text that appear poorly in dark mode. For example, breadcrumbs font color blends in with the dark background. I have simply turned off the features where the font color looks funky and the usual font color changes don’t yield the desired results.

But there are some text features that I cannot turn off, like the Author of a post.

OK…until I find the option in the theme settings I found an easy HTML edit:

Just add this in the ahref tag – style=”color: #33a2ff;”

I used a lighter blue because of the dark background and it looks fine. It works in URL links and email to links.

I have the same problem. I chose the dark option in the Fairy Pro them and all text becomes white, even the normally blue text in links. I have search the Pro options from top to bottom and do not see how to get link text back to blue.

Exactly where is that option in the theme settings? ??

The days of the week appear to be invisible, but if you highlight the blank cells with the mouse then they show up: Sun Mon Tue…

Some one please help me with which file to tweak in order to fix this.

Thanks, mono, but I just kept switching themes until I found one I liked that plays well with The Events Calendar. It seems as though the gridview in particular gets a lot of its format stle from the theme. Thanks though.

I switched themes because the Fresh Ink Magazine theme has so many other issues. But in my new theme the grid view still does not show the days of the week at the top of the calendar.

How can I fix this problem?

Thanks, Shane. So is my best bet to completely uninstall the current version and then install the premium version? I did upgrade to WP 3.0, so I probably have to go premium now.

I’ve been developing a website for several weeks and found TEC very interesting, but with lots of quirky flaws and needed tweaks, which have taken hours, I’ve felt like a beta tester. I was planning on donating next week when I go live, but now it looks like I either immediately go pro or find something else. What would make the pro version less quirky regarding the need for tweaks and constant updates?

I was running Vista with IE7 and had the problem. I simply upgraded to IE8 and the problem went away.

Well, it turns out that my Vista machine was running Internet Explorer 7… I upgraded and all is well.
