Am I right on what I can/should do?

Okay, thanks for the info.
Let me see if I have this right.

I install BuddyPress.
I create the design of the site using Divi, I create the design of the profile page with Divi/BuddyPress.

“Jorge” comes to my site, decides he wants to honor his father.
He pays $25 using PayPal.
He gets access to a profile form which he fills out with information and a photo.
He submits.
He sees his father’s page of honor.

Later, when someone, including Buddy, comes to the main URL of the Honor Site, they see a grid with 100 or more fathers and brothers thumbnails with names under them.
They click on one, it happens to be Jorge’s father, and then they are taken to the profile page and read all about him.
Then they go back to the main grid and repeat this process as often as they like.

Is that what I can do with BuddyPress?
Do I need anything else besides BP?

It does look good. Most of the stuff in here does not. However, it is ALL a pitch for ungodly amounts of monthly money. Someone said they couldn’t believe it was still free. My response is, “Really?”

I tried to create ONE newsletter sign up but there was NO SAVE BUTTON. I’m assuming that would come with a payment.

As you are obviously quite aware, I do NOT live here. I do not CARE to live here.

I had a problem. I Googled it. This site was suggested as having experts. I asked a question hoping to solve my problem.

What I got was a lot of officious replies telling me I had made a serious faux pas in the protocol of those who DO live here.

Sorry. I wanted your help, not your scolding.

But, I really got NO help. Just first-grade-teacher responses on how to stand in a straight line before I would be given the help I sought.

Please rethink your behaviors. Do your first function first: help one another. Once you have, you can certainly suggest a change in behavior for my next visit. But that’s not what you did.

same problem. In the Mail section it says:

This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.
Subject
This field can be empty depending on user input.

What do I do with that information? How do I fix whatever that means?

Did we get a developer response on its ability to work with Divi? Gotta know!

Six months later and still nothing. I even followed the link to the pro version but the page is GONE!

I think this phenomenon is relatively new. My guess is that it allows the video to load quickly and THEN goes high quality. It’s happening everywhere.
