In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] Bloatware Zip AIAbsolutely unacceptable to install this bloatware with your plugin, especially without warning, announcement, or ability to disable.
This plugin is be removed from all of our sites as a result.
@ispacecrusader just a heads up, we’d reported a similar issue for support previously and today, with v2.4.0 being released, it seems we can now disable the Spectra On-Page CSS via the Settings > Spectra page (Settings tab)
Happy to report that with v2.4.0 released earlier today, we are now able to Disable the new Spectra On-Page CSS via the Spectra Settings tab. Thanks for getting this done! Closing the issue now as resolved.
Thanks for the response, @karahonasan
Please do let us know when the issue is resolved.
Hello,
We’re still here. Do you have any update on this issue? It’s not resolved, so no reason to close this or to mark this as resolved.
Regards.
Hi @judith0
Is the issue “resolved”? Even with v2.3.0 released today, I could not see or find a filter / how can we disable the New On-Page CSS Feature for all users below Administrator level, or even just all users.
Perhaps I’m just missing it and appreciate some additional guidance. If it’s not resolved, please leave the issue open (or reopen it) until it is.
Thank you!
Thanks for the response, Judith, and for letting us know there is no way currently to disable the New On-Page CSS Feature.
As a result, we will need to (temporarily) disable Spectra – WordPress Gutenberg Blocks plugin on our affected clients’ sites until the issue is addressed.
If I may request, please leave this issue open until it is addressed by the development team and publish any updates on progress. I imagine others will also find they wish to be able to control access to this new feature, either by the UI or by filter.
Also, FYI, Gutenberg v14.8.0 was released yesterday, which includes the addition “Global styles: Add custom CSS panel to site editor. (46141)”
Perhaps that renders this feature moot in this plugin then, and it be retired accordingly?
Thanks again and happy holidays!

In reply to: [Enable jQuery Migrate Helper] Enable jQuery Migrate Helper won’t go awayWe’re seeing the same behavior … the “Weekly jQuery Migrate Status Update” admin emails are still arriving after the plugin is disabled, in one case with a report from an issued logged in Dec. 2020.
Trying now after the plugin deleted, and will update.
These are sites on WP Engine and SiteGround.
Thanks for the information. Definitely getting warmer now.
It is failing the POST variable check. Specifically the post_type, which is a CPT and not ‘mt_pp’
If I understand some of the earlier coding logic correctly, originally at least, the profile image was added to the author’s first post as the post’s featured image. Is that right? And in our case, where we’re trying to update that profile image now, the post type it’s tied to would necessarily be something other than ‘mt_pp’. Does that make sense?
We are testing this locally and with everything else disabled.
Thanks again for your help and support.
Definitely appears the JavaScript response is empty. Big question is why? No errors in PHP log, though there is a warning when accessing the user-edit.php page that reads:
[08-Apr-2020 00:19:46 UTC] PHP Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in ..../wp-admin/user-edit.php on line 293
admin-ajax.php seems to be firing up just fine, but there’s no response to the edit.
Something else perhaps of note, this plugin has been in use for quite awhile and many of the users have had the custom profile image since perhaps before you implemented
metronet_image_id
Is there any reason to think that older set images are incompatible to be updated in more recent times?
Finally, is there a manual method for updating or replacing one user’s image for now? As the removal of a users image worked and we cannot set one to replace it, we’re now stuck with that user having the “mystery.png” next to their articles, which is a problem for the client.
Is this plugin still supported?
