Thanks a lot alchymyth. I was wondering where that tag is in the editor. I tried using the more tag and thought it might be a theme issue and posted it here.

The <!–nextpage–> tag worked perfectly. I would use this tag manually rather the plugin because it could break in the next revision of WP (as described by the author of the plugin).

1. Regarding removing date from “list of posts” pages, I don’t mind removing all dates, not just old dates. I am trying to create a website which offers “notes” to students appearing for a competitive examination in Judicial services in India. 99% of the posts are pretty static (what I mean is that the time and date of publishing is irrelevant). So I don’t really mind removing the date from all posts in a category page or home page.

I have finally figured it out after deactivating all the plugins one by one. The plugin “Buddyverified” is conflicting with CM Tooltip. There is no conflict with WP Knowledgebase theme.
