The page looks AMP compatible even without using a plugin. Does that mean that I don’t need to use a plugin for AMP? That would make life so much simpler.

Check your content block settings. I accidentally set it to zero and all my paragraphs vanished. You can access it at

content>Block>Dimensions>Block Spacing

Sorry for the confusion. It seems the Related Posts feature is not a JetPack feature. Apologies.
