In reply to: Tags for Pagest31os_, my site is about to be completed . I am afraid something may go wrong after updation which may set things back by several days.I do not want to go through this possible nightmare.
t31os_, are you sure it’s absolutely safe to UPGRADE – from 2.9.2 to 3?

In reply to: Scribd code not working! Thanks Tom Weston, I’ve already done precisely that!
And it works! But we’re supplied with only 2 parameters – Width & Height.
What about alignment? Coz the interface is aligned in the middle & I want to align it to left. But I wonder why we should be using the plug-in when the Scribd code should work on it’s own, as I’d experienced in WordPress.com (sans using any plug-in)!

In reply to: Centering both text & Imageesmi, I think it’d have been wise had you requested BarnacleBob to open a new post for his problems instead of answering him here – and mixing things up.

In reply to: Scribd code not working! This is a volunteer driven support forum, so good luck with your problem and have a nice day.
jdembowski, mind explaining this sarcastic comment of yours. What prompted you to do so? Are you trying to act too smart or what?
Of course, I know this is a “volunteer driven support forum”. So?

In reply to: Scribd code not working!jdembowski, did you read my 2nd last post?
For me your response is not proper – sans you reading that post.Btw, what’s “3.0-RC3”?

In reply to: Scribd code not working!Ok jdembowski, your technique just shows the link in my Post/Page. But what I want is the document’s INTERFACE in my Post/Page. And this is possible ONLY through the special Scribd code.

In reply to: Scribd code not working!esmi, I do not know why you mentioned PHP code. Coz the Scribd code has nothing to do with PHP.
The code is in this format:
[scribd id=<id> key=<key value> mode=list]jdembowski, this code is supposed to work just by pasting it in one’s Post/Page. In fact, I’ve done & seen that myself in a WordPress.com. But this is my 1st experience in a self-hosted WP-based site.
jdembowski, I will try using your technique:
[embed]….[/embed]. Inform you later about the result.I really find it strange that the code is not working!

In reply to: Unable 2 insert JPG filealchymyth, the capitalisation is OK!
Since this is an internal matter I do not think a link to my site will be helpful.Btw, the format for my images(.jpg & .png) is image/x-generic.

In reply to: Centering both text & Imageesmi, your suggestion doesn’t work.
But I’ve got it tight! Wondering how?!!!
Before inserting the image, I just set the Alignment to None. That’s it!
Now both the image & text are one paragraph. But the fact remains that the WP is a “crooked editor” – for reasons which are so obvious (& which has already been commented upon) that I do not want to repeat it here.
esmi, thanks for trying to help, anyway.

In reply to: Centering both text & Imageesmi, text & image are “centered” – but both should be “in the same line”. Because of the crooked WP editor I am unable to get this simple thing right.

In reply to: The “Coming soon” image is invisible in IEesmi, I am not interested in any hacks at all. In any case, IE 8 or later is more common. If I go by your observation the “coming soon” image is visible in IE8. That’s good news.

In reply to: The “Coming soon” image is invisible in IEesmi, the IE I am using is of ver. 6.0. So, is this the reason?
In fact, before posting my query here I’d informed CSSJockey about this. Mohit then mailed me his response – “Please find CSS Hacks on Google to fix the issues in ie6”. Believe me, I was shocked! As a non-techie why the hell should I indulge in such gory activities?
esmi, do you know what he is talking about?

In reply to: The “Coming soon” image is invisible in IEesmi, I am sorry I forget. So here’s my site.
