Hi, I solved the issue. There were 2 custom post types named Topic and I was selecting the wrong one.

Ok so this happens only with quick edit not when I edit and then change the post type.

I am still having this problem, it is because of the jetpack plugin. When I deactivate it the issue gets resolved.

HI, reinstalling Jetpack seems to have solved the problem!

Well i am still facing the issue, Media temple says they cant replicate the issue.

I cleaned my database and repaired the database tables and it is now working.

You could dump the db and do a search/replace to change the rest of them, then drop the db, and import the changed file

dint work; will backup all my content; luckyly not much there yet and will reinstall wordpress from scratch and add the content again……..

Tried switching themes and also manually reinstalled the entire thing still dosent work. I suspect i have damaged the database while changing the tebel prefix for security purpose; hoe can i confirm this and repair the database??
