In reply to: [Genesis Grid] Pagination pushed into one columnI fiddled around with this some more and discovered that this issue only happens when the Genesis theme settings for content archives item “Select Post Navigation Technique:” is set for Numeric. If I change the setting to “Previous / Next” then the pagination appears correctly at the bottom of the page.
Ah, maybe so. I haven’t upgraded to the premium version. I’ll keep my eye on this though ??

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] [Plugin: All-in-One Calendar] its brokenTry upgrading to latest version of the plugin.
Version 1.6.1 of this plugin just released after I posted and updating plugin fixed the issue.
Kudos to the plugin developer(s)!
I’m experiencing the same issue.

In reply to: Intermittently (very) long initial load timesVery interesting.
I too have been pulling my hair out since the end of Dec 2010 with what sounds like an almost identical situation.
I have several WP sites on a VPS768, same php and mySQL versions as you.
I have been having connection timeouts constantly since end of Dec and WiredTree claims there are no issues with my server load, etc.
But I have NO problems whatsoever with ANY other sites.
I’ve checked with my ISP, checked all the things I know to check…to no avail. WiredTree is no help and just says it’s me.
I’ve been with WT for several years. It may be time to look for a new host.
I have the same problem with this plugin. No matter how much memory I give it via php.ini I cannot get it to run. It always fails. 900mb should surely be enough I would think!
I’ve also disabled all plugins except for it and then run it and it STILL times out because of not enough memory.
I gave up. If there’s a solution to this, I’d love to know. For now, I can’t use it.

In reply to: [Plugin: AZIndex] Not working since WordPress 2.8 upgradeI tested this on a development site of mine. Upgraded WordPress to 2.8.1 and the site is alread on PHP 5.
Had never installed az index on this site, so did that.
But it doesn’t work. Still get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strtoupper() in /home/website/public_html/directoryname/wp-content/plugins/azindex/az-index-cache.php on line 863So that’s a completely clean install of az index on PHP 5 and still get the same error.
I’ve had to do some work around coding on my live site to get the plugin to work.
Hopefully the author of the plugin will address this code problem. Crossing my fingers ??

Would love a solution to this.

In reply to: Import From BloggerSame exact problem here. Click on import and it says it imports 1 of hundreds of posts and one comment, then button changes to assign authors. It isn’t really importing anything though.
Been searching for a solution and none are it. Found an idea to import blogger into a wordpress.com account then export and import, but my wordpress.com doesn’t show an import/export option under tools, even though I’m the admin.

In reply to: Twitter Tools does not update (Version 1.6b2), WordPress version 2.7Twitter Tools was working perfectly for me for a few weeks. Now, suddenly, it’s not. It will not send my posts to Twitter.
I don’t know if it’s a conflict with another plugin or not. But it just won’t work anymore.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP e-Commerce] You Get What You Pay ForWell, to each his own I guess. But I worked with WP e-commerce and finally abandoned it because of the attitude on their support forum and the lack of support. There were lots of unanswered posts on the “support” forum and a lot of times when people did ask questions they’d get rude answers. Not friendly.
Ran across more than a few people who paid for some of the upgrades and even they couldn’t get great support.
There are enough products out there with good to great support. When I see things like I saw on the WP e-commerce forum, it’s just a warning sign to me.
And the reason I haven’t posted anything else here about WP e-commerce is because I’m not using it. Plain and simple ??

In reply to: [Plugin: WP e-Commerce] You Get What You Pay ForVery sad. I’ve had problems with them before too. It doesn’t seem to me like the developers even understand their own product. Their attitude isn’t great either.
I am still looking for a good solution to a shopping cart/WP combo.
