Did you select the Digg category you wanted to use when writing your post? I’m pretty sure that’s the same Digg plug-in I had troubles with, until the creator pointed out to me that the Digg this per post doesn’t show up unless you’ve assigned a Digg category when writing or editing your post.

Can you put a HTML break tag in manually? That’s how I do my line breaks. No idea if there is a better way.

I’m not quite sure exactly what you want, but have you tried the ImageManager plug-in? I think it might do what you need.

Sounds like you need to use the SideBlogging plugin, set it to display 2 entries only, and put all the books into the category set for your sideblog. That way visitors can view every book by viewing the category where you put the books, but the sidebar will only show that latest 2, with the most recent one on top.

Not sure if you want something more than what is built in, but once you have an image in your editor, you can click on the image, click on the image properties icon (or use Alt-M if you like keyboarding as much as possible like I do), and then select the alignment. Using Left or Right will cause text to wrap around the image and place the image on whichever side you specify.

Many bargain hosting providers oversell by 10 to 100 times what their servers can actually handle. The providers that do so expect you to use extremely low amounts of CPU, and bursts of network traffic rather than steady streams. I have used such hosts in the past, and had my current site (https://www.blahblahblahg.com/) suspended for using too many system resources while doing a database backup. My database is only 20 Meg, so backing that up shouldn’t take too many resources unless the company is an extreme overseller.

To fix my problems, I went from a $20 a year host who gave me 75 Gig transfer and 1.5 Gig storage to a $5 a month host who gives me 400 Meg storage and 10 Gig transfer (https://www.asmallorange.com/). It might seem like a huge loss in available resources, but I haven’t had my site locked out for backing up my database yet, and I realistically don’t use that much space or bandwidth anyway.

Just find a more reliable host that isn’t overselling, and you shouldn’t have troubles like this.

Sounds like a DOS versus Windows linefeeds problem. Try opening it in Wordpad, which should correctly translate the linefeeds. Make sure to save it as text when saving it again, and upload it in ASCII transfer mode.

If you click on the thumbnail in the image browser after you upload it, you should get a small options menu to pop up. The first option says “Using thumbnail.” Click on that, and it changes to “Using Original.” Then the third option says “Send to editor.” Click that and the image will show up in the editor at the current cursor location.

That’s how I do it. I’d like to have the system default to using original images and only sending thumbnails when I chose to, but I haven’t looked into how to change that – it’s probably a simple source change, but I haven’t checked.
