really? no one? someone out there must have already solved this issue, finding a way to collapse the categories and sub-categories in the admin’s add new post edit page. so please, give me a sign ??

i am also interested in how can i change the “list” categories into “drop down” categories in add new post page.

smalps, looks easy, one small problem thou.. can’t find that /wp-admin/includes/template.php you’re talking about.

in my wp-admin i only have the images and import directories and the rest of css, js and phps… no includes nor template.php.

i desperately want to restrict access to categories based on the user’s role, so plizzzzz help me find the .php i’m looking for ??

interesting plugin. usefull if one has few categories with some sub-categories.

unfortunately i cannot use it. i have 4 parent categories with about 40 subs each, and if i want to split one categ in two columns i have a lot (a lot!) of work to do adding categs i do not want to show.

is it possible that when i add a category i don’t want to show, to “take” its children with it so i dont have to add them one by one?

is there other way to split categories in 2 or more columns?

i used this post-templates-by-category plugin, but i have a problem: it does not keep the parent/child category when i try to view a post, it uses the index…

i created for example category-14, which is one of the parent categories, and indeed, when i click a child of this categ, it keeps the template. but vhen i try to view on of the posts in any child of c..-14, it does not use the template.

how can i keep the template when i view the posts? or what else can i do?

iap, a lot of work..:| there are about 200 categs so far (one for almost each animal and bird in Romania…) and i still have to put up some… fish, plants, insects… so you can imagine hou much work… ??
