In reply to: White Screen of Death strikes another victimI’ve downloaded the newest version and removed the WP-Content folder and WP-Config.php. I didnt see any root .htaccess files
Just to be sure, do you mean I should delete all the old folders except the WP-config.php and WP-Content folders?
Also, where do I upload them?

In reply to: White Screen of Death strikes another victimSorry, I didnt realize that was a whole package. BTW thanks for helping. You can tell that I pretty much have no idea what I’m doing. So, I did all the previously mentioned steps except:
“- re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.”Just to get this straight, I download the new version of wordpress. Then I re-upload all the old file folders except for the ones you mentioned?

In reply to: White Screen of Death strikes another victimI did this:
Use phpMyAdmin to deactivate all plugins. In the table wp_options, under the option_name column (field) find the active_plugins row
Change the option_value field to: a:0:{}Now I want to change the option_value field back to what it was using the SQL backup I created earlier

In reply to: White Screen of Death strikes another victimI did all of those suggestions except re-uploading all my files.
-Renaming files doesnt work at all.
-Resetting the plugins according to the troubleshooting screen doesnt work. In fact, I’ve accidentally deleted all of the plugins I used to have in phpMyAdmin and need to figure out how to reupload them from the backedup SQL files.
-I backed up the database (SQL files), but can’t find a video/guide for reinstalling them on Bluehost, so I’m not going to delete them from my hosting until I figure out how to put them back.
-I tried to manually upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php and got the following message:
“No Update Required
Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!
Continue”
This is incorrect because the website still says I need to update.Things are starting to go sideways now. Now I need to figure out how to upload the plugins I used to have. Any help or extremely explicit tutorials on how I can put SQL files back on phpmyadmin?
