  • 3) Solution — I added “read” permissions (in addition to the “write” permission I’d done in the last step) to the /content/uploads folder. ‘Turns out that the server needs to read stuff from there in order to complete it’s job. Made sense, once I’d gotten it going

    My upload folders are already set to read-write, and I get the blank-sceen issue. It’s interesting to note that I can’t reproduce it, but a client of mine seems to get it consistently, leading me to think its some sort of client-side issue.

    A client of mine is also experiencing this issue. He is using IE7 and seems to consistently get it. I have tested it with various versions of IE and Firefox and cannot reproduce it on my own, however. I’ve also seen a few other people reporting this issue, which then someone replies with the IE-Fix patches. This is unrelated. The IE-Fix patches certainly solved some issues, but the white-screen problem is not among them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If I could reproduce it on my end, I’d likely be able to nail it down….but alas.
