Sorry for the delayed response…

I’m using a custom theme created via Artisteer. I did find the if(haveposts()) code in the archive.php. The ‘else’ has: theme_404_content();

I guess one option is to customize the 404 page- but I’d rather it not return a 404 page, plus I want to show a different “no posts” page for different categories. Any thoughts?

I’m having the same issue here. Changing to default theme doesn’t fix the problem.

I’ve found a workaround for this until the plugin is updated. Add images in the media library, then from the media library page, attach them to the page where the slideshow is. If you want them in a specific order, you’ll need to upload them one by one in the order that you’d like them to show, and be sure your gallery settings are set to “Order Slides By: Menu Order”.
