In reply to: [Mooberry Book Manager] Fatal error on activating pluginI figured out the problem — my hosting company’s PHP was set to 5.2. When I changed it to PHP 7 in the cPanel that fixed the problem.

In reply to: [Ultimate Follow Me] [Plugin: Ultimate Follow Me] Multiple WidgetsI’m having the same problem. I can’t really use this widget if I can only have it in one widget area. Can you suggest a fix please?

In reply to: Dummies Guide to creating a staging/test site?Thanks for the links Esmi, but that’s not quite what I’m looking for. From what I can tell, all of those are useful as long as you’re not actually changing any content or functionality to your site, but I need to do a proper redesign — meaning i need to add pages, posts and a few new plugins and get all of that working in a new theme before launching it to replace the old website.
Any more suggestions? Thanks very much.

In reply to: [Plugin: Sociable] How do you resize the images so they are larger?I’m still not getting it to work. To recap what I’ve done:
1) uploaded a folder with 64×64 icons with the same names of individual icons (facebook.png, etc)
2) inserted the URL of that folder into the Sociable Settings page under “Image Directory”
3) Ticked the “Disable sprite usage” box just in case
4) Changed the CSS Sociable file so that it says
.sociable img {
float: none;
width: 64px;
height: 64px;
border: 0;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}Still not working. Just showing text links:

In reply to: Adding the Grid View Calendar to a PageAs recommended, I installed the Page Links To plugin so that I can have a page in my top navigation called Events which then shows the calendar view of events.
It’s taken me hours to get to this point because I couldn’t find anywhere that took me step by step with what I needed to do. I’m not a techie, and while it’s obvious to a lot of people, sadly it’s not to me.
Now the problem is that the calendar is all that’s showing, so there’s no way to navigate anywhere else on the site.
I know you all are volunteers, but I’m happy to use EventBrite (which charges a commission) and even donate if I can just get an Events plugin that lets you:
1) Have a page — not a post — in your main navigation, called something like “Events”, which takes you to a calendar of events.
2) Let people book your event and pay for it online.
Surely this is something many other people want??
I’ve tried every single WP plugin for events and booking there is, and can you believe not one of them can do this successfully? Events Manager was closest but had all kinds of bugs. Now this one but I can’t get it to display normally.
I’d appreciate any help, suggestions…
