    Hi Ryan,

Good to hear! I understand you want to do this yourself, but I have already a hard coded translation and no time to wait. I’ll ask my programmer to fix it.

However, if you have an update, let me know and I’ll give you a Dutch translated .po/.mo file.
Thanks for this wonderful and simple plugin. Cheers!

There is no php error, I checked. Don’t want to offend you, but it looks like you answer every question with, “you have a php error”, Viper ??

I do not really understand why MU should be standard build in. The success of WordPress so far was that is was lightweight and easy to use. Are you going to destroy that now?
Why not have two separate entities as before? If I have a blog, do I want to drag the burden around of code I’m not going to use anyway? What is it with open source developers wanting to put everything into one giant, cumbersome box?
Just a thought of an otherwise big fan of wordpress.

I think this is an issue with the latest Flash plugin and WP.
I have seen the solution somewhere, but can’t find it anymore. It had to do with uploading an adapted script, which would replace the Flash code with output for a regular browse button.

Ok, thanks Niconectado, I will give it a try.

I finally found the problem. It was the Kimili Flash plugin interfering with the admin section. I think it is best for all of you who can’t get it to work, to look for any plugin that is media related and turn it off and check.
Hope this helps for some of you.

Zelgadis, resizing in the post is not actual resizing. You just show a big image smaller and in many cases, it is distorted, especially if you have slanted edges in the picture.
The ideal is using an image editor upfront because the quality of resizing is much better then the php application. That said, if the function is there, it should work indeed most clients refuse to work with image editors.
What I found out is that it depends how big the image is that you upload. If it is as small or smaller then the height or width set in the Media Setting for thumbnails, you can only insert the full image. If it is slightly bigger, you will have also option Thumbnail. If it is bigger then the largest setting, you will have all options.

It is never possible to enlarge an image. You can only go smaller or keep the same dimensions.
Hope this helps for some of you?

That’s just a cop-out to blame it on Plugins. What do Plugins have to do with the Widget Panel and Sidebars no longer working?

Sorry, but it is true. I first also thought this was nonsense, but it really worked after I turned off all plugins.

It turned out to be the Kimili Flash Embed plugin. So, I upgraded to the latest version and that one didn’t work at all, so I just removed it.
I was not even using it any way ??
Phew! This has taken me 7 hours to solve, just because I had no clue the plugins could be involved in the admin section, but come to think of it, they can influence any section, actually.
I did halfheartedly deactivating some of them, but not this one.

Strange thing is that some of my sites are ok with 2.8.3 and others are not. Perhaps it depends also on the type of server configuration. I have one server where permissions need to be set to 777 if I want to change files and that it the place where the visual editor is not working, nor the dropdown menus in the admin area itself.
I tested in Chrome, Firefox, IE, it works nowhere.
I tried all measures I found regarding this subject on the forum, except installing an external editor plugin because it will not solve the menu problems. Nothing works.
