@makhay, indeed the firewall is not optimal when in learning mode, but it goes quick.
You set it into learning mode, you immediately save a post in gutenberg mode and then you turn learning mode off. To be be on the safe side, create a test version first, and do it there.
A nuisance? Yes, but it is WordPress that imposes a page builder, not WordFence and it isn’t that well built either.

I closed the issue.

I’m the super user. Setting it to learning mode solved the problem.

There is nothing essential about gutenberg, no. It is meant for non-technical people but count on it that many folks are going to use it because it’s hyped all over the place, even by people who should know better.
Sigh… the burden of being dependent on a system controlled by somebody else.

I think your problem with gutenberg has to do with the theme not being compatible (which is logical because gutenberg isn’t even officially out yet.
Anyway, I tested gutenberg on another server just now and it works fine, but on shared hosting with a number of add-on domains it doesn’t work. The WF plugin blocks other websites from performing certain actions, even with “Scan content outside WordPress” disabled.
As this sort of setup is common with shared hosting, I think WordFence needs to clear this up. Unless they want me to move to another security plugin, of course. ??

@mountainguy2, although I fully understand your feelings, this is not the place to vent them. I just want to test gutenberg to see whether my plugin works on it or not, but for some reason WordFence blocks saving.

Much appreciated. I only use this plugin on one site, so it was an easy fix thanks to your link to version 2.5 because I didn’t have that one.

Although it looks very complete, unfortunately it doesn’t work for me.
I spent over an hour to get this to work. I tried to do you a favor by looking into your plugin again, but my time is limited, so I moved to another solution that works within 15 minutes. I understand that your’s has more options and is therefore more complex to set up, but as I can’t confirm it works, I can’t change my rating, sorry.

I don’t remember the words exactly as I de-installed the plugin but the description on the settings page it said something like: backs up wp-content, wp-includes and wp-admin. Core files are not needed as you can get them from a fresh install.
If I’m mistaken, let me know and I try again.

Yes, I can add a read more but I get the above mentioned error if someone clicks on the link, that is why I removed the option.
It’s not a big deal, it works fine for me the way I have set it up.
Perhaps there is a conflict with the polylang plugin.

I had it installed on a Dutch site as well. There, I have no problems.

I actually just translated parts on for the frontend, not the backend. My written French is quite basic, therefore, it would be best to ask a native speaker.
The links to more info don’t work either, that is why I mentioned it. Therefore, I removed the widget and disabled the short info mode.

It depends on the authors of a commercial plugin. If they have no auto update mechanism in place, you won’t see any new updates from them.
Quite a few commercial software houses do enable automatic updates, but it’s not the general rule.

It is a good plugin, but this safeguard is buggy.
It has determined that Repose Theme, SEO by Yoost and GoogleApis are interfering with the plugin, therefore it simply blocks those scripts, rendering the site unreliable. We are advised to contact the offending plugin authors.
I don’t think so, those authors deliver reliable plugins. ??

I suggest you use the plugin to create the translation files and once done, remove it from your site.

I can do that when the plugin is finished. There is currently no point in creating one because there are quite a few entries in the javascripts which cannot be imported into a pot file.
For the time being, I hardcoded the translation in the files themselves, you see.
