How come they are getting blocked? Should I do something differently?

The person doing the migration has not done it properly, there is still references in quite a few places to the old URL.

If you look at the URL of some of your images, they also point to your old URL.

wp-o-matic works, sometimes. You can publish the posts as “Draft” so you can pick which ones go live. Another option is feedwordpress.

You can also create another user, then delete the Admin user. It asks what to do with the Admin account’s posts. Here you can select to move them to the new user you created.

I would use the text widget instead of the Meta one. In the text widget you can put in what links you want. So for example, your text widget could include:

<a href="https://www.amethyst-treleven.com/wp-login.php">Admin Login</a>

This way you can add your own links if you want any more. More info on this blog post.

You can always increase the size of the excerpt with a plugin. I posted a quick article on my blog about it.
