So my webhost is using permalinks on my site?

ok managed to get it fixed after messing around changing themes. ??

Next question is, why am I seeing all this nonsense https://flat-out.hubble-3.titaninternet.co.uk/?p=1 in my domain name? Can’t remember seeing that with my previous Webhost, it looks quite tacky and I don’t like it TBH.

It’s an EU domain so why am I getting the hubble-3.titaninternet.co.uk/?p=1 bit?

Can I get rid of it?

Anyway, my first problem is I cannot assign a avatar/gravatar

If I add a link like https://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d92/Dunk1888/Odds%20and%20Sods/flat-out1-1.png into the box ans set everything to site logo the image does not appear I try to submit a message to Facebook.

When I try to use my gravatar avatar, even though I have uploaded my avatar (my site logo five times) and set everything to Default Author Gravatar, again it does not show when I try to post ssomething to Facebook

Secondly, I have two Facebook pages one for me and the other is one I manage, The facebook icon not the one which appears in the widget but the one which appears normally under a post or on the home page is directing my messages to the wrong Facebook page account, as it is now it directs all messages to my own page, but I would like it to direct messages to the page I manage., how can I change this?

That looks ok does it?

What happens is when I try to insert an image, the outline or shape of the image will appear in the post but the actual image itself will not, the outline will however have two icons on the top left of it though, one with a little red cross which when clicked will make the image outline disappear.

I forgot to mention I am getting this error when I try to upload an avatar

Hi again sorry about the delay in getting back to you on this, I’ve been out most of the day.

Right I’ve installed everything again did the https://www.flat-out.eu/blog/wp-admin/install.php thing and I got a screen pop up saying WordPress had installed ok

So in all of my joy and happyness I start uploading things again, I upload a image, check in gallery and its there, I then try to insert it into a post and it’s not having any of it, I then try to copy and paste the url’s thats linked to the image in gallery and they dont work either, I also try and copy and paste an image directly from my photobucket account with the [img] insertimage here[/img] tags and it still dont work

Not that I know of, would I not get away with unzipping it directly into my blog folder though? would it escape Joomla that way?

Should I even be copying and pasting that into my browser though? am I doing this wrong perhaps?

Ok deleting as I type this, so how exactly do I run wp-admin/install.php.

I just entered it https://www.flat-out.eu/wp-admin/install.php into my browser and it brought me back to my main site, which is Joomla based and under construction.

No it’s ok, the site has only been up a few days again so there is no content on it really as I’ve spent most of the time trying to add content/images to it lol

As for everything else like themes, plu-ins etc I have saved everything thats installed on the site to my PC, just for occasions like this one, seems to be a wise move already but I didnt think I would need it already.

Errr no I didn’t, I just logged into the old database and uploaded WP again, I thought (till two minutes ago lol) that if I completely deleted the old blog directory then just created a new blog directory before I reinstalled that it would have been ok?

Ok, so now I’m thinking that I have possibly corrupted latest instalation of WordPress and that I now have to delete it again to fix my issues.

So my next question is what is the correct procedure for deletion/installation?

How do I run wp-admin/install.php?

I actually deleted the directory ‘blog’ which WordPress was in though, then when I reinstalled I created a new directory called ‘blog’ for WordPress to back into?

So by deleting the original ‘blog’ directory surely everything relating to WordPress would have been deleted with it?
