This problem came back when upgrading WordPress to v4.4

The pipe works when I click “test”

It fails when I click “test with update” (i.e. manual run)

Export functions don’t appear to be working.

All I am doing is choosing this URL as my source in RSS Reader… https://news.google.co.uk/news/feeds?pz=1&cf=all&ned=en&hl=en&q=euro+vote&output=rss … and then choosing Post and selecting my default category for the output.

It does a successful retrieval in test mode, so the data source appears to be in good working order.

I can’t find any mention of WP_Error anywhere in this file

With some additional testing I was able to work out that this situation was being triggered by a link that was slightly longer than the available space (i.e. the width is reduced by the presence of the ad).

The workaround is to use shorter links but perhaps there needs to be some kind of smarter CSS that isn’t so sensitive to these situations.
