You can either manually edit that line (per the link above) until the dev makes the necessary fix or uninstall the current version and install the previous version until a fixed version comes out.

Trust approved commenters
BBCode is spam
Use regular expressions
Look in the local spam database
Mark as spam, do not delete
Delete Antispam Bee data when uninstalling
Generate statistics as a dashboard widget
Spam counter on the dashboard

Everything else is unselected.

Solved. On a hunch, I switched my server’s PHP version to 7.1 and now it is working properly.

It has nothing to do with WordFence and is a hosting issue.

I should add, yes, I’m sure that I have wordfence installed!

I have since verified the fr_FR.po (wp-content/languages/) file and the translations contained within are all proper.

One more example.

When in the admin panel, in the widgets, I check the search which states

which is correct. Yet when you view the site, it states Search in the textbox.

I was having this same issue. The fix, for me at least was to create a new form, create any necessary fields and then go to another WP Admin page (any one) and then return back into the Custom Contact Forms admin page. Then the button worked. It would appear it refreshes some aspect of the code.
