In reply to: Cannot upload images: Permission denied in file.php on line 348Since I have installed, and reinstalled again and again wp, i still have this problem.
so far, i have not been able to get a wp site running at all with my photography.
yes, i have read all posts from the last two years with possible solutions and executed all suggestions. also i have received feed back on my earlier inquiry (see above) how to solve this problem (thank you so much for that), but still: it is not working!
only resolution i have not been able to try is this: i don’t know how to make an .htaccess file in my wp-admin directory. that would be the last resort. I would really appreciate if someone could instruct me how to do this. hopefully that is the resolution to my media upload problem. again: thank you for the effort!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Error saving media attachment.hi esmi, i will again – i have received feed back from you before on my question via my own post. now browsing again for solutions, i found this topic, so that’s why. i will activate my own previous post again.
thank you for your time!Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Cannot upload images: Permission denied in file.php on line 348I have the same prolem since the beginning I installed WordPress – got losts of advice via the forum but it is still not resolved. after again a reinstallation of WP (for a different domain), now the upload folder can’t even be created, even with permissions 775 or 777. i’m not running on apache, so that can’t be the problem. Any help is very very welcome!!

In reply to: images don't showthis is the message: Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/josephinequartel.nl/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

In reply to: images don't showhello emsi,
back from mexico and I have installed for my other site (www.josephinequartel.nl) WordPress as well. I took it off the first one (www.mexicoholidayhouse.com).
This time in the root. the properties of the directory, incl. its subs, are 775, so it should be writable.
But again: photo’s do not upload and now the folder uploads is not even created!
What’s wrong?

In reply to: images don't showHello esmi,
currently I am at my place in Mexico (in the jungle) with a very slow i-net connection. I’ll be back in The Netherlands by the 2nd of April and will then reinstall WordPress.
Or if you have any other suggestions, I would be grateful (since still no images are uploaded: the file names appear in the library, without the actual images shown (only a cross) and when looking at the folder via ftp, none have been uploaded).Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: images don't showhello emsi, have you any other suggestions? i’m going to mexico 2morrow so i will be off line most of the time. in the meantime, i’ll put up my old website again instead of trying to get the wp version running (or that is: desperately trying to get the photos uploaded). hope you can think of something how to get it running.
should i reinstall?

Configuring this is optional. By default, it should be blank. (which I tried yesterday too, but did not help)

In reply to: images don't shownow i uploaded a photograph into wp-content/uploads myself via ftp just to see if it shows in this post

In reply to: images don't showwhen ii ‘upload’ an image, it does give the url:
but when i look into that folder via ftp, there is no file.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: images don't showthe folder uploads is empty.
in settings i have the max. width set.
and I emptied the lines store uploads in this folder, but before you asked me to do that, the folder is:
https://mexicoholidayhouse.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploadsFyi: i did not install WP in the root, but in a folder called wordpress.
Reason is that now when clients go to my webpage, they can still see my original index.htm which says that I am updating the site (www.mexicoholidayhouse.com)
Does this help?
