In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Caching questions and plugins.Perfect. I have enough information to determine that I should be using another plugin. Thank you.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Caching questions and plugins.I’m expecting all module caches to become stale at some point and need a refresh, yes. If it happens with the page cache, even when a new post or page isn’t added, then it should happen with the other caches as well. Otherwise, in the case of something like Google fonts being updated (something we have no control over), it risks breaking the site – not functionally, but definitely visually.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Caching questions and plugins. Thanks! It helps, but perhaps not as much as you were hoping. Does this mean that if a theme releases an update that fixes a CSS bug, the CSS files that originally contained that bug will still be minified and thus served to visitors? Is that not somewhat problematic?
Actually, we can close this – my caching plugin was interfering. The Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin didn’t bypass that, which generated a false positive.

In reply to: [ShareThis Dashboard for Google Analytics] Dashboard reports not updating? Is there a delay with it? Just updated, but don’t want to commit to “it’s not working” if I just need to wait a bit.

In reply to: [ShareThis Dashboard for Google Analytics] Dashboard reports not updating?Does the analytics tracking code not use the same profile settings as the dashboard display? I only see 1 profile setting there, and that’s the one I set correctly.

In reply to: [ShareThis Dashboard for Google Analytics] Dashboard reports not updating?Still an issue as of last time I checked. And I just checked again because you asked, still happening. But I can pull up the full report and see stats just fine.
I have the same problem. However, if I go to the stats page from within the WP dashboard and drill down to the top posts summary, all the info’s there. I can confirm I’m getting visitors to the site, but the issue still persists.

In reply to: Word count not showing on posts?Alright, looks like it may definitely be an issue with the site’s javascript. I turn on script debug, I get a word count – but temporarily. It reverts to 0 again if I, say, move to edit a different post or add a new one. If I turn off script debugging, then refresh the page, word count returns. Again, until I edit a different post or add a new one. Then it’s back to 0.

In reply to: Word count not showing on posts?I ran into a bunch of other issues, mostly related to javascript, while trying to troubleshoot this issue. It warranted a reinstall of WordPress. Fixed my javascript issues, but this problem still exists. It only shows up on one site running 4.0. Problem exists in latest IE and Firefox on Windows 7.

In reply to: WP dashboard inaccessible.I’ve been watching that thread. And, well, it does do something with AT software–in Firefox. I like the way it’s handled there. Now if we could just have it handled the same way in IE, I’d be laughing.
