    Thanks.

Metaslider has 4 options to use as a slide and I managed to use the one that was not responsive.

I appreciate the quickness of your reply.

    jpg’s for fine !!

Just remember that you have to do the patch in this post to prevent images from being cropped.

Ok, I have sorted this. The problem is that we have all thought that the theme would take resized photos and post them. Provided the height of the photo is the same as the ‘Slider Height’ then we shouldn’t have to worry about the width, right? WRONG

The slider will only (possibly, I have not tried different sizes) accept a photo that is 1500 (width) x 350 (height). The chances are that if you resize a photo to this size then you will have to ‘un-tick’ any aspect locking and the result will be that this will distort the photo.

The way around this is to start with a blank canvass with the same colour as the background colour of your site and set to 1500×350. Then past your photo on to it and then save the canvas as a jpg. You can then use this photo for the slider.

This nugget of info would have saved me hours. I hope this helps someone else.

How did you manage to get the slider to work with your own images ?

Yup, I have the same problem. Looking for a solution…

I’ve tried all of the above and the slider still crops all of the photos I add to it. The slider is currently useless.

    Anyone else having problems?

OK, I have uploaded the same photo 5 times. Each version of the photo is a different px size and a different Mb size and the slider shows each photo EXACTLY the same. The only thing that changes is the quality of each photo but visually it shows exactly the same area. I

It is NOT possible to optimize any photo for the slider as the theme seems to manipulate it.

This renders the slider utterly useless !!!
