In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Event Page@ehong33234 This appears to be a question of the Parent-Child nature of the structure.
When you create an Event, that is the Parent. Then when you create a specific instance of that Event, it is created a a Child.
For Example, I create a ‘WordPress Training’ Event. Then I set three Saturdays from 9-10am as the Event Dates.
When that happens, I’m creating 3 Children of the Event.
This allows us to create a Title, Description and Images ONCE on the Event and the Children inherit this post info.
In the Events list, on the top you’ll see Top Level Events (Parents) and ‘All’, which includes the Children.
If you have other questions, please reply here or open a new thread. Best of luck!

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Shipping Cost@ehong33234 I’ll add this, and the will mark this resolved unless there are other questions.
OT-CE is built to have the customer view and either print or digitally store their tickets. You can change the system, since it is open-source, to physically mail people tickets, but that is not the intent.
Our desire is to completely go against the grain of the ‘buy a ticket and have to get it mailed to me’ model. We want the power to be in the hands of the customer, so they can either print their own ticket, or just save it as a pdf for later use.
We hope that answers the question. Please re-open this if you have other questions.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Update to WordPress 4.1 ErrorIm sorry that you updated the plugin before we made it compatible to 4.1.
On the plugin page, we show that we’re compatible to 4.0.1 right now.
Do you have a 4.0.1 you can install, or a backup you can revert to?
If not, then we are actually working on the 4.1 Community Edition now, and will release it as soon as possible.
Is there also a WooCommerce update that you applied?

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Need help with QR codes loushao@slappy32 sorry that you were overlooked. We now have some more attention (people) being given to the forums here.
Please forgive that due to the long holiday some threads weren’t responded to. If you can email [email protected] perhaps we can setup a screen share so that we can see what you are seeing.
The link above goes to an ‘internal error’ page, so can’t see the example of the ticket you are referring to.
@freshground i responded to other ticket. We might need to do a screen share to solve the issue. if you can email [email protected] we’ll set something up

I’m marking this one resolved since we do have in our backlog a feature to allow different displays of upcoming events.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Can't finish setting up event@freshground we don’t see anything from the feedback. Could we possibly do an online meeting and screen share to see what you are seeing? If you send email to [email protected] perhaps we can help you figure this out.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] QR CodesHello @slappy32 are you still experiencing the issue?
If you are, if you can go to the Admin and go to ‘OpenTickets’ and click on ‘System Status’ and click Show Report and paste the contents here. That could help us figure out what could be the issue.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] No People, no RolesHey @majecdad You guy bring up a good point about it not being crystal clear about the differences between Community and Enterprise. (The Zendesk isn’t supposed to be exposed to the outside world…That is for Enterprise customers and is definitely a source of confusion. That’s my next phone call!)
We’re going to be making changes to the commercial website and also the Support link will require a login to the Enterprise portal for support and questions.
@bradleysp thank you for the explanation. FYI we’re in QA on the ‘GA Multiprice’ and will come out soon. We agree with the ‘smorgasbord’ idea for the small clarity, small business, spiritual organization, schools, etc. who don’t need ALL the functionality of Enterprise.
A good thing is the response has been tremendous, and we really appreciate people like you who take the time to help us make it better for everyone.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Protected EventsSimon,
If you don’t want to post publicly (totally understandable) can you email a link to the actual event page to [email protected]? We can take a look.
Please give us a link to the actual events page.
