We have tested this on multiple local installations, with background and manual updates, but couldn’t reproduce the issue.
Can you maybe tell us what version of Elementor was on your installation before updating?

We have also tested with edge cases scenario (narrow columns, big gaps…) and still we can not see any issue.

Did you maybe check if you have put some padding on some of the columns?

Also, do you maybe have some live test domain so we could take a look?

We have tested this and found out that this really is a problem on static homepage, so we will include the fix in our next update. If you wish to change it before the update, here are the instructions:
1. Go to qi-addons-for-elementor\helpers\helper.php file and in qi_addons_for_elementor_get_query_params function find and adjust this part of code (around 120 line in file) like in screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/jeX9gitvWkNH
2. Go to qi-addons-for-elementor\inc\pagination\templates\pagination-standard.php and adjust this part of code as in screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/lAc7ozuYgfeb

As for the box display heights, we have done it this way because of the possible excessive space there’ll be if all the boxes are the same height (height of the tallest item). What you can do, for example, is to add the following custom css, so all box heights are the same as the tallest one in row:

We have tried this at our end and couldn’t reproduce the issue, but it may have to do with some settings you’ve selected. What have you been using as a layout and display options (show date/image/info)?

You can also try enabling WP_DEBUG to see if there is some king of error.

So if you wish to have a card like carousel with your testimonials you can use our Testimonials Carousel widget, with Item Layout option set to “Boxed”. You will find a variety of options when it comes to layout and appearance.
However, star ratings is not possible to add within the testimonials at the moment.
