  • Thank You. Everything is now working on my widget page since I changed the accessibility mode. I have a lot of widgets and need access to the text in them. Everything is working now. I really like WP now that I have learned a lot about it. Also love the Weaver xtreme theme.

Thanks again for reading and replying to my post.

I found out what is wrong. UNDER SCREEN OPTIONS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE – click – Enable accessibility mode. I don’t know how mine got change, but that allowed me to change the text of widgets as normal. There is always something new to give you problems. LOL Thank You to everyone that read and helped.

I disabled each widget individually – still did not change. I also renamed the plugin folder so none worked and still did not change. I even installed a new template and the widgets text was not able to be edited.

Widget not able to edit text

If you click edit, it only lets you change the position of the widget – you can’t edit the text. Very strange. Pat

I am having the same problems. In the AVAILABLE WIDGET Edit section there use to be a black triangle to click that dropped down to show a box with the current text where you could also edit that text. Now, I only have an EDIT click that only allows you to change the location of the widget – not the text. Very Strange. I used the Customize section to change the text.

I use the Weaver Extreme Plus Template.

I have the same problem with all my wp sites. I found if you just place your cursor where you want to place the link and text, click the link button and fill everything out in that – it will work. Usually I type the text first, then click on the link button to place the link – that no longer works. Very strange. You can always place the html on the code side of the page, but clicking the link button was much easier. Pat
