Through the premium support the fix was found and it was user error. I forgot to verify my email address for the “from” email in Mailchimp. Mailchimp will not do anything until then. And you will receive no error in the system. All seems to be fixed now and I am chugging along… Please mark as resolved

I actually purchased a premium license in the hopes priority support will be quicker and provide a fix. Sent email to support. BTW issue still exists with premium plugin.

Thanks for the info. But the over arching issue is the plugin does not work when double opt-in is selected. On my page I get the success submission message. But the email is never sent for the user to opt-in. Here is the link to the form (double opt-in is enabled)

In the wordpress dashboard when I go to the section Mailchimp for WP -> Mailchimp. Part ways down the interface I see a section that is a list of my lists in Mailchimp. Also in that section it has a number of my subscribers. When I turn-off double opt-in, use the form on my site, Users make it into my subscribers when I log in to mailchimp and view from there. But in your wordpress plugin that information never updates. The issues are probably not related, but just thought I would let you know what I am experiencing. Also I do not have a paid version. Would not mind making the jump to it once I can see the free version is working.

BTW, I saw the FAQ and I waited hours for the entries to show up or emails to be sent. They never show up or send.

Update again, my users make it into mailchimp as subscribers if I turn off double opt in.

Just to add, subscribe says it worked. But no one shows up in the subscribers. Neither wordpress or mailchimp.

Same issue, except I do not even receive the opt in emails. You can test here…

Ok digging this back up ?? (rather than start a new one). How does one mix Categories and Pages to make a main navigation? In my case I need to have a drop down css menu that will be like the following:

• About

• Company (static)
• Owner (static)
• Events (Dynamic Content)

Notice that Events needs to be managed content (posts) so convention says that needs to be “Category”. But pages are what seems to create the main navigation. When I click “Company” it is fine for it to go to a static page. But for events I would like it to go the category with all my excerpts. I am guessing if I build the navigation in a static manner I could do this easier, but I would like to keep things as dynamic and system driven as possible.

Any input appreciated.

hmmm…. I dont see the post I was involved in about the restaurant menu setup. Maybe I did not start it? Did you guys update the site recently or something? It used to pop up when I searched for “restaurant menu”
