@leejosepho: OMG! Re-attach images to their pages and posts?! There are hundreds of images, quite possibly up to about 2000. ?? I don’t like that one bit.

Looks like a hunt through plugins. I did find one before I asked here and it mentioned changing the memory allocated to PHP, and I can’t do that, this is all hosted and I don’t have access to that kind of thing. I’ll see if I can find an alternative plugin.

I have no idea why it now works. I don’t believe I’ve changed anything since I noticed, and reported it broken.

I have found that this has already been asked in this question.

I can see from the reply there that it’s something in the theme, and I’m going to have to go a-hunting to find the fix.

Consider this solved, and post any solution to the linked question above because it is better explained than in my post.

To anyone who gets to this point: If you can activate the plugin, the next step is, in the WordPress Admin page, the link on lower-left for Settings has a new item, Amazon Showcase. Create a new Amazon Showcase widget there, then it’ll be available to add to your page under Appearance -> Widgets.

In addition, the two showcase widgets I had on my page disappeared during the upgrade to 2.7.1 (that might have been my fault), and when I try to re-create them there is no dialogue box to enter the ISBN/AmazonID.

I look forward to a fix or resolution to this (please – I like Amazon Showcase, I don’t want to remove it!).
