  • Gutenberg is horrible, pretty much everyone thinks so except the devs of it.

Hasn’t improved at all since the day it came out.

When customers (a lot of them) don’t like the tools that you guys build (Gutenberg), the only solution is to tuck your tail between your legs and get back to the drawing board and improve the program that was built poorly.

Wouldn’t it be funny if I was building an app for a customer, and they said they didn’t like it at all and you just reply with “well looks like you’re afraid of change!”. They’d be pissed.

If people are finding the software bad, you have to redesign it or make it better. I’ve seen no improvements in Gutenberg since it was first released.

Seems like that’s the goal. Wondering what kind of conflicts of interest on the WP team that led to something just being shoved own our throats.

The problem is the Gutenberg plugin. It’s just a really bad plugin and was built poorly. You can tell it’s a bad plugin because there’s so many people describing the problems it has, and how it messed up their sites, and the developers are blaming the users for not being willing to change to a worse system.

I know the developers don’t care what we have to say at all, but if they did, they would have simply added Gutenberg as a Tab on the classic editor. Do you want straight up HTML, WSIWIG, or Blocks? You just get a tab for each, easy simple done without breaking existing sites.
