Thank you very much, that’s sorted everything out! The custom feed works and is picked up by at least 2 RSS feed email subscription services.
Hi Naweed, hope you’re well. Are there any updates regarding the new release? Thanks.
Brilliant stuff, thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve tried setting the Feed Request Useragent setting to the useragent sent by my browser. That hasn’t worked, is there anything else I can try?
All of these feeds give the following error message (“Invalid feed URL – Double check the feed source URL setting above”) when I try to add it to the feed aggregator:
https://andrewgelman.com/feed/
https://medium.com/@jamesheathers/latest
https://rolfzwaan.blogspot.co.uk/
https://psych-networks.com/
https://medium.com/@richarddmorey/latestThe 1st and 3rd are recognised by the SimplePie site as valid feeds but not by either the RSS aggregator or the W3C tool. The 3rd is also recognised as a valid feed by the W3C tool. I have absolutely no idea why they won’t work. Is there a chance it’s being affected by another plug-in I’ve downloaded?
Hello
Thank you so much for helping me with this. It has been such an unbelievable hassle to get this thing up and running but now it is. You’ve been incredibly helpful with this and I couldn’t have done it without you haha. I’m going to give a 5* star review to say thanks (and for the fact the product and your service deserves that).
Have a great day
Damn I’m really sorry I didn’t realise you had replied. I’m trying to set up a custom RSS feed via the WordPress widget on my homepage. I have called my custom feed URL “psychmethods” (without the quotation marks) and the error message displayed when trying to create the feed is:
RSS Error: A feed could not be found at https://psychbrief.com/psychmethods. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.Hello
Thanks for the suggestion about resaving the Permalink settings. However that doesn’t seem to have changed anything. Is there anything else you can recommend?
