still having issues, i can now scratch it on a DNS issue because my other sites are accessible from the outside, however i created a NEW wordpress blog and it doesnt load the background theme, what is the fix for this?

are you behind a router?
are u putting the dns address in your webserver box, in your router, or both?

nope, im using dot.tk for my website names and i host my own webserver

im having the same issue however the issue is only from the outside going to my web blog which is php, however accessing my other sites that are in HTML are fine and i can access my web blog within the network, and im hosting the server myself. i have changed the dns on the router but that hasnt fixed it i have also deactivated all my plugins as well as upgrading from 3.04 to 3.1 and i cant seem to figure out the exact issue

any suggestions?!?!

the theme ur currently using is it from wordpress or is it a custom theme from somewhere else?

i have wordpress robot, the latest and registered version, however it is still buggy, im still learning it only had it for 3 months or so but it creates posts automatically not sure if it does by the setup i have it as but it does post. more testing needs to be done to make this product better and the wp-robot support doesnt seem to want to help

i have comcast modem which is connected to a router which then forwards to my server

i thought my external ip address is static however i should check that

instead of using the ip address how can i set it up to use the domain name from comcast

my router is a linksys wrt54g model running dd-wrt firmware i would rather use a dns name instead of an ip address just to avoid the changes of ip’s

my next question is how do i go about fixing this, do i change the dns’s i have in my router? should i use googles DNS’s
