In reply to: [Connections Business Directory] Move Category descriptionsHi Steven,
I notice that on the “category descriptions” in the admin panel cannot be turned off as the browse options tab usually located at the top of the screen on the right is missing. Please see image link below:
Please advice on how to stop the category descriptions showing in the admin panel.
Kind Regards

In reply to: [BP Site Post] Activation ErrorHi Venutius,
I think your solution is best with regards to my 2nd question. I currently have a site where each group uses specific categories; I just wanted to see if I could get rid of the “Blog Categories for Groups plugin” and use yours instead but as I can see now… each plugin addresses different needs.
Well done for all the effort you have put in… its really a great plugin
Kind Regards

In reply to: [BP Site Post] Activation ErrorHi Venutius,
I am partially back to work now. Thanks for the updates. I can confirm that the plugin works fine now
Just a couple of questions
1) Can this plugin be used with custom post types?
2) Will it be too bulky or confusing to enable the group post to be restricted to work with specific categories for each group (similar to “Blog Categories for Groups plugin”?
Kind Regards

In reply to: [BP Post Status] Duplicate Content IssueHi Venutius,
A big well done to you.
This is a powerful Plugin and it attempts to address a lot of issues at the same time.
I commend your effort. So far everything seems to be right with the plugin… there are only a few issues that I believe need addressing
1) The issue of duplicate content is still the major worry.
Please see image
You can access the content by going to
a) permalink url = sitename.com/post-title or by going to
b) permalink url = sitename.com/groups/groupname/group-posts/post-title
C) I also see 2 x “read more” for each article
2) In the admin page of the plugin… you have the box titled “Choose if Groups posts should be constrained within each group or if they should also be displayed as normal posts”
I am not sure if this has any effect as I tried several times… but could not quite work out whether it was working or not.
I think the wording is ambiguous.. it could be something like “Enable if you want group post constrained to each group”
3) just a minor point… your plugin name “BP Post Status” does not do your plugin enough justice as I don’t think a lot of people will immediately work out what this powerful plugin does.
If there is an opportunity to change the name … you might want to choose something that really shows your plugin of… something like BP Group Post plugin or something to that effect
Will keep you informed if I notice any other issues.
I will now take a look at the bp site post plugin
Kind Regards

In reply to: [BP Profile Home Widgets] Error With Display ActivityHi Venutius,
Good luck with the group home widgets.. Will keep an eye out for the plugin.
You might want to take a look at your contact form on the buddyuser site… as it appears not to be working well (the one floating on the right sidebar). Tried to send you a private message about an idea for another buddypress plugin… but your contact form opened up but did not send the message.
In relation to the BP Post status plugin … you might want to look at the code snippet I got from Brajesh… don’t know if it might help
Kind Regards

In reply to: [BP Profile Home Widgets] Error With Display ActivityGood luck with the Group Home Widgets…. would be great (unique) if you could somehow get it to be able to display for the group home page without the person joining the group yet…. I had to use the imath plugin plus a couple of codes that stopped anyone accessing the blog for the group they were not a member of….
Anyway… looking forward to your plugin….
Kind regards

In reply to: [BP Directory Views] Group DescriptionThanks for taking my feedback on board and also for taking the time out to sort the issues quickly. It’s been quite beneficial for me too as your plugins have helped resolve some of the issues I had struggled with for years on some of my websites.
Your plugins are all quite useful and great for buddypress users like me who know little or nothing about coding.
Now your plugins is going to be one of the first things I install on any buddypress site I develop in the future…
Good luck with the launch of the group widgets
Kind Regards

In reply to: [BP Directory Views] Group DescriptionHi Venutius,
My site is not live but i have a test site that you can take a look at. I use it mainly to test things before transferring to my mains site.
I have tried the css codes you gave me… but that’s not doing it
I will leave it open for the next few hours so you can see the groups section

In reply to: [BP Profile Home Widgets] Error With Display ActivityHi Venutius,
I can confirm the video situation is now resolved.
On point 1… if you cannot move the hook… is there a way that you can move the line above the hook… that way the user knows the hook belongs to the section in which it is located in?
Kind Regards
