Hello @mhenson,
You can change the profile template for user profiles from ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> Profile Templates” in the dashboard.
The plugin also allows you to select a profile template based on the group. You can assign a specific profile template to a group for its members using the “Profile Template for Group” option under “ProfileGrid >> Groups >> Group Options >> Basics” in the dashboard. This enables you to apply a custom layout to the profiles of all users in that group. If a user belongs to multiple groups, their profile template will be determined by their primary group.
Please ensure that you have configured this correctly. If the issue still persists, please get in touch with us here.
Hello @admai,
You can manually update the plugin on your site by first downloading the extension’s ZIP file to your computer. Once downloaded, install the ZIP file as a new plugin on your site. Before doing this, make sure to delete the previous version of the extension from the Plugins list in your Dashboard. You can refer to the following steps to download the extensions from your account on our site:
- Log in to your account on ProfileGrid website.
- Click on the ‘View Details and Download’ link.
- On the next page, you should see all the extensions available with your purchase.
- Download and install them.
I hope this helps, let us if you still face any issues.
Hello @rudiexp,
ProfileGrid uses the default WordPress user meta data to store user information. You can map the form field’s meta key with ProfileGrid’s group field, so when you edit the form field value, the corresponding ProfileGrid profile field with the same meta key will automatically update. You can map the group field using the option “user_meta Key” in field settings.
I hope this helps, let us if you still face any issues.
Marking the topic as resolved. Please reply back if you still need our help.

Hello @wittmanntw,
The conditional content show Shortcode does not parse the shortcode as of now, you may only put the content in between to display in condition.
We have noted this requirement and forwarded it to our team for possible improvement in future updates.
Hi @blueyonder,

Enabling bbPress Integration from the Global Settings will add three new options to each ProfileGrid Group. You can check out these options by clicking on the ‘Settings’ link on any ProfileGrid Group. These three new options are:-
Enable Forums Tab: Adds a ‘Forums’ tab to each ProfileGrid Profile that is a member of that Group.
Member Can Create New Topics: Any member of the Group can create new bbPress Forum Topics.
Member Can Create New Replies: Any member of the Group can create new Replies for bbPress Topics. To enable the above settings, Go to Specific Group’s settings.
1) Login to your website and click on ProfileGrid Menu
2) All the groups will appear
3) Click on settings >>> Scroll down and enable the option via the toggle button. For more details on ProfileGrid-bbPress Integration, please visit https://profilegrid.co/free-bbpress-user-profiles-forum-topics-replies-subscriptions/.
If a user is a member of multiple groups, then the priority will be of the first Group’s bbPress settings joined by the user. So, if the forum tab setting is enabled for the first Group the user joined, then the forum tab will display on the user’s profile.

Hello @rudiexp
Please refer to the following steps to change the settings of a field :
1) Login to the WordPress dashboard and go to the “ProfileGrid >> Groups” menu.
2) All Groups will be listed here , then go to the “Group Registration Form” for a group.
3) Next you will see the list of fields for that group. You can edit, delete or add fields from here.
4) To add the text, configure the option “‘Paragraph Text” in paragraph field settings.
Please let us know if you require any further assistance.
Hello @rudiexp,
The Paragraph field is a read-only field that can be used to display formatted content inside the registration form, but it will not appear on the profile after login. To display this field on the form, please ensure that you have configured the ‘Paragraph Text’ option in the field settings.
Please note that read-only fields do not appear on registration forms or edit profile pages. Only administrators can change the value of this field for users from the dashboard, and it will be displayed on the profile page.
I hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions
