    Hello ciprianaleme (@ciprianaleme),

There appears to be a misunderstanding. We have NOT changed profile builder to RegistrationMagic. RegistrationMagic integration is purely optional and there were no changes to it during recent updates.

The issues you faced are likely due to some other reason. Our support team will love to help you fix them. Please let us know after which update you experienced these issues. Any other details you could add will be very helpful.

    Hello yeboad (@yeboad),

Sorry for the delay. I think I got your tickets. We needed an identifier (email usually), but there’s one with your domain name on our system.

    Ticket # 1 ID: LZK-258-92889

Posted on 23 September 2018 which we replied on 24 September 2018.

    Ticket # 2 ID: JOK-408-92994

Posted on 26 September 2018 which we replied on 26 September 2018 (same day 4 hours difference)

Are these the dates? Both tickets are in waiting. Since our ticket emails are not reaching you, I will ask one from the staff to write to you from personal email.

We are extremely sorry you had to wait, but it was totally unintentional. We respect your decision to move to another plugin, but if there’s an opportunity we would love to make things right.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to us. There’s no code vulnerability known to us regarding this feature and this issue has never been reported before. When a new user is created and has not yet uploaded a custom profile image, user’s default image is generated based on two options:

    1) If you have turned on Gravatar here: ProfileGrid > Global Settings > General > ‘Enable Gravatar’, then the default image will be fetched from user’s Gravatar profile. If user does not has a Gravatar image, Gravatar will assign a random default image.

Or if Gravatar is off, then:

    2) Default Profile Image option in ProfileGrid > Global Settings > User Accounts. Here you can set the default image to be shown whenever a new profile is created. Please check if the image set here is not the same image you are seeing right now. You can change it to something more generic. By default ProfileGrid sets this as a grey generic user icon which admins can change later.

If both of these options are set as expected, please share screenshot of the profile image you are seeing.

    Hello Earl_D (@earl_d),

Thank you for writing to us. Communities extension will allow users to be part of multiple groups. There will also be options for open and closed groups, membership requests and an approval system. As part of broader expansion of ProfileGrid capabilities, this will complement extensions that enhance Group Leader privileges (with frontend group management area) and add option to have multiple group admins.

All of this is currently under development and will be delivered as combination of extensions and enhancements to the core.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hello youri28 (@youri28),

Thank you for your kind words. We’re very excited about the updates planned for next few weeks – some very powerful features coming up! There’s so much planned already that only thing we wish is the ability to code faster ?? Rest assured, we’re together in this adventure! Every update opens door for new possibilities.

Each positive review is shot in the arm for the whole team. Big thank you from all of us.

    Cheers!

    Hello youngone (@saschinger),

Thank you for the review. Both features are part of our near future plans. Second feature is already in coding stage.

Feel free to let us know if you wish to see anything else in ProfileGrid.

    Thanks!

    Hello jaalders (@jaalders),

Thanks for the additional ideas. Everything, except the ‘cover image’ is already coded but not part of main branch yet. Currently focussing on bug fixes reported by different users and some blog functionality. After that, we’ll move to this feature set. Will add ‘cover image’ to specs.

Always happy to answer your questions.

    Hello jaalders (@jaalders),

Thank you for the review and pointers. All these will be addressed in upcoming versions. A Group Admin system, allowing group admins to administrate group users is already under works and should be available very soon.

If you need to see anything else in ProfileGrid, please write to us and we will try to fit it in our roadmap.

    Kind regards.

    Hello (@earl_d) (@vowtv),

Please update to the latest version we released few hours ago – 2.7.3. It should fix the problem. Clear the cache once it is done.

If the problem persists, create a support ticket and our team will look into it asap.

    Regards.

    Hello Dineke (@gebruiker1),

Thank you for working with us through our helpdesk to diagnose this issue. I already updated you on your ticket that the problem has been resolved. But since this is a public forum, and for benefit of community members seeing this, I think it is important that we provide a proper update to this thread. More so because mere mention of spyware or malware is enough to attract attention.

As we had initially assured, the extension files themselves are totally safe. It was a false alarm due to a DNS setting. It was reported to McAfee and they have removed the warning. You should be able to download and update the files without any problems now. If you have any questions feel free to post them here or on your ticket.

I also have a request from ProfileGrid team – since the issue didn’t turned out to be what it initially appeared, and has been duly resolved – please consider modifying your review. ProfileGrid is a being actively developed by small team of passionate people. We take every feedback seriously, and this really bought down the morale. While we try our best to make every ProfileGrid user happy, few things are time bound due to external dependencies. Still, if you feel we missed anything, do write back to us. As I said, we want to do all we can to make you feel happy.

Thanks again for working with us to get this resolved.

    Hello Dineke (@gebruiker1),

Appreciate your cooperation. Would it be possible for you to provide any other email that you have access to and I can quickly set up an account for you. You can then login and download the extensions normally.

Just fill out our form here with the email and reference to this thread and we’ll know.

If you have any other suggestion, let me know.

    Hello gebruiker1 (@gebruiker1),

Despite multiple tests we are unable to produce any warnings. We’re still waiting for you to provide any related information. Without that, we can only classify it as false alarm. Additionally, no other user has ever reported any similar issue so far.

Also, I would like to know the username you used to sign up for extensions to investigate it as a more case specific issue.

    Hello gebruiker1 (@gebruiker1),

We performed scans with McAfee and other Antivirus apps but could not trigger any warning. We used McAfee Total Protection.

We are doing it on multiple systems now. Can definitely use your help here, if you can share the OS, McAfee software name and version you were using when you saw the warning.

Will update you if anything comes up.
