Strange right.
I’m just hoping that godaddy has made some weirdo update customizations, and someone could catch what it is.

Just ran Wordfence scan, nothing alarming there. Just a plugin that needs to be updated.
No other issues found.

All permissions are good, im very sure.
I’ve never tried WordFence.. let me run a scan and i will update here.

Thank you for the reply. I went through my wp-config.php , and i dont find define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, true ); or any variation such as define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );

Infact i can’t find any word with “update” on my conf file.
I also have another blog that was on my vps from the start, and it can be updated just fine.

Any other ideas?

I had the same error. The solution is very simple actually.. You just need to remove the & character –

I use a managed wordpress hosting, so my wordpress is always updated.
My site is not compromised.
The only nasty thing that happened was yout theme’s message “ONLY” when it is tried to delete (what a nice malware would try to stop delete “only” your theme!)
I use Jetpack, so my login and many other things are protected.
I also use cloudflare. Everything is always upto date.
Maybe people have not commented on this yet, but please remove this from your theme. It’s very stupid to have it.

The plugins/theme i was using was the standard theme that was recommended with Motopress. (Motopress actually was installed FOR that theme).
