In reply to: [WooCommerce] Error 404 – Filter by AttributeHi @clem69004!
Thank you for including the widget again. I don’t see a 404 error; but I see an empty page even though the counter shows a positive items number. So, there is a problem.
Can you temporarily switch your site’s theme to “Storefront” and try again?
If this doesn’t help, make sure that your site plugins are up-to-date. Take your site backup before updating your plugins. Then, perform a complete conflict test as per these instructions: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
If this doesn’t help, let us know. We’ll check accordingly and get back to you.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Error 404 – Filter by AttributeHello @clem69004!
I believe you are referring to the following widget. Is that correct?
I checked your webpage and didn’t find the “Filter by Attribute” section on it. I only see “Category filter” and “Search bar” sections on your site. Here is what I see on your website:
Did you remove the section? If yes, please include them again; switch to the “Storefront” them, and test again.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Due to the WooCommerce plugin, requests like this are generatedHello @saharok1209!
In general, the
admin-ajax.php
file contains code for routing Ajax requests on WordPress. Its primary purpose is to establish a connection between the client and the server using Ajax. WordPress uses it to refresh the page’s contents without reloading it.In your case, it seems these requests are taking too long to process as there are multiple requests/processes at a given time.
It is possible that a plugin or DB configuration could be slowing down these requests. Do you see any errors in your PHP logs related to your WordPress/WooCommerce setup? If yes, please paste those here.

I checked your screenshot; kindly note that this grayed-out section is auto-filled after you set the quantity of a product to be refunded or specify custom amount right next to the item name (as in the following screenshot).

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Critical error after updateHey Vincent!
The error
"Dirlist failed copy dir: checkout-order-error"
seems to be related to the file-system permissions of your server. It seems the update process wasn’t able to copy directory contents from one folder to another. Please re-check your installation’s directory permissions. You should be able to find more details about the error in the PHP error log file and your hosting provider can assist you setting the appropriate file permissions.
As far as the re-installation of WooCommerce is concerned; if you rename the WooCommerce directory name directly in the plugin’s folder; WordPress will automatically disable this plugin as it won’t be able to detect its files. You should then be able to install the WooCommerce plugin again from the WordPress dashboard’s plugins section.
The above-mentioned process won’t affect your WooCommerce data; data will remain intact; as we are only manipulating files, and not the data.
I suggest you re-install WooCommerce after ensuring that the server’s file permissions are correct. You can delete the renamed WooCommerce directory after successfully re-installing the WooCommerce plugin.
Let us know if this doesn’t help or if you have questions.

Hey @jkhamada!
Is there a regular cache I need to clear?
If you don’t use cache, it is okay.
1. Can you give us some background about the error; did this should up after any updade? If yes, what exactly did you update?
2. If you see any plugin-related errors in your error logs, disable that plugin and then test to see if the issue persists.
Let us know how this goes.
I have changed the theme to the storefront. The error message is still there
As the problem persists after changing the theme to Storefront, I suggest you disconnect Jetpack once and re-connect it (if you are using Jetpack).
If this doesn’t help, please paste here the errors that you see in the error logs (you mentioned the errors in your first post).
We’ll check, and get back to you accordingly.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] weight based shippingHello @mom22!
I understand that you wish to apply shipping rates based on the item’s weight.
1. This is possible using the Table Rate Shipping extension.
This extension allows the setting of shipping rates based on the product class, or weight (screenshot attached for your reference below).
Example: a costumer buys 1x 300g item, they’ll pay 5€. If he adds items to the cart that sum 4Kg he’ll pay 10€.
This is possible to achieve with the above setup (see screenshot).
If you want to try our products, please note we have a 30-day refund policy.
Note: Making a purchase with WooCommerce is safe. If the product doesn’t work the way you need or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to offer a full refund. You can read more about our refund policy on our website here: https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/
Also, after making the purchase, you can contact WooCommerce support directly for support.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Default shipping not changeable?Hi @rainbowalex!
I am not sure why it is not working on your end. On my test site, I have set ‘default customer location’ to ‘Geolocate’. I haven’t provided any key for Maxmind, and it is still detecting my country correctly (screenshot attached for your reference).
The license key required here can be a free one; you can generate it as per the instructions provided in this article.
I suggest you try the free key; in case, it doesn’t detect the Country properly, let us know.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Default shipping not changeable?Hi there @rainbowalex!
Is there a way to do the geolocation with having to make a maxmind account?
A geolocation file is already present on your server, but it requires a regular update. So, if you create a maxmind account and provide the license key, the IP database will be updated for you automatically on regular basis.
So, Geolocation will still work if you don’t provide a key; but the DB itself may get outdated with time.
If you do not want to use geolocation; you can turn off “Default customer location” setting (as shown below), and every time a new user visits your site; they’ll have to provide their address themselves.

Hey @jkhamada!
Thank you for providing the SSR. Everything looks updated on your site. There could be a plugin conflict with WooCommerce. But, you mentioned that you already disabled your plugins and still faced the same problem.
I still suggest you to disable all plugins except WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Square. Then, switch your site’s theme to Storefront. Clear all caches (sometimes, hosting providers also provide cache service), disable Cloudflare proxy (if you’re using it), and then re-check the issue.
If the problem persists, create a ticket with WooCommerce support; based on the extensions used by you. you are eligible for premium support. We’ll handle it from there.
