I’m having a similar issue. I’m using the Sigma theme found here:

When wordpress 3.8 came out, it broke the homepage sliders and in trying to debug it, I’ve come across that javascript error in the console.
Any ideas or do you think it has nothing to do with the problem? The real problem is when uploading images to the slide, you’re supposed to “Insert into post” but it’s actually inserting into another wysiwyg field and not setting up in the slide itself.
